great buffet food!
desserts are delicious.
little expensive at Rs699/ head but it's worth the price!
Extremely salty food. Our Tomato Basil soup and Gobi Manchurian were extremely salty. The sizzler we ordered was burnt, Pad Thai was full of oil. Prices are on the higher side but the quality of food is low. Very Disappointing! They don't serve rice with any of the Thai curries. Also, their service charges are high! Check your bills before you pay! One star is only for their Kannada speaking staff.
We went to the Cable Car On a Saturday night for dinner. The buffet is on 5thb floor.
If you are specific that you want to sit on a cable car seating arrangement, the dine area is different and located on a ground floor.
The buffet had good options. Starters and Soups were served on the table. We had live counters for dosa, Chats and Pasta. They were all good options. The chefs were very accommodating about the customisation of food required in the live counters. There were good and limited rice options. Also the desserts were really good. Special call out to Gulab Jamun which was as good as home made ones. The staff were very very friendly. Quick and courteous service. Overall good options for dinner and with only vegetarian options. The price was very reasonable.
Vishranti Bhavan@cable car in j.p.nagar is a revival of the legendary restaurant in central Bangalore.
It is a welcome addition to "good bengaluru veg " restaurants in south Bengaluru.
Ambience : Neat decor, comfortable seating and a compact place.
Food : Uddina vada was the king of the day ! Ticked all the boxes : perfectly crispy exterior, light feel and right balance of everything inside :)
The mini breakfast is very very mini .. Just about enough for an average appetite belly.
Pongal had loads of ghee and tasted closer to the venn pongal in tamil nadu restaurants.
Kesaribath was so less that I could not get a feel for it . Will go back and try a full quantity :)
Kharabath feels homely like uppittu.
I would have liked sambar if it were more flavorful.
Dosa was light and nothing special to write about .
I prefer Masala dosa with red chutney and tons of ghee .
They give sugarless coffee as standard. Aromatic , right thickness and a winner all the way
The veg sagu that came along the Poori was atypical and light. I prefer sagu with a little more gravy in it .
Overall : 4/5 A very good option for family breakfast outing .
Had the extra privilege of meeting the friendly US return owner Shri. Sreekanth Karkada, a 3rd gen restauranteur.
Good place for vegetarian food in south Bangalore. They have a cable car seating on ground floor but that has very limited seating - maybe 10-12 seats. Larger space in regular seating. For breakfast they have a combo option (idly, vada, kesari bhat, khara bhat, pongal, dosa, coffee/tea -- all mini items) apart from the usual a la carte items. For lunch, they have a buffet option which has a good spread and is pretty good. Buffet is served on the upper floor. Food tastes good and service is friendly. Can get crowded on weekends. They don't take reservations, so plan accordingly
A good place to have buffet lunch. They serve short eats and soup on the table and have a nice spread of both north and South Indian main course followed by a good quality sweets fruits and ice creams.
Ordered idly vade and masala dose both were really good. Menu may look a bit pricey but it's really worth it.
Loved the theme and the setup is very nice.
Delicious variety of cuisine to relish.
Chaat counter to Dosa( North to south)
& variety of things in between a great journey in the cable car to end the trip with a sweetner( super desert counter).
Will come back again soon

The best part about Jackfrut is how they maintain their kitchen; always spick and span, nothing out of place.
They serve good wholesome food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
