Vishnu Mandir - Hindu temple in Gorakhpur - Gorakhpur, India

It is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu painted in white colour and located near Asuran chowk, just in the side of Medical road. The architecture of the temple is square-shaped with strong thick pillars at the four corners and each corner/side has small sanctums dedicated to the deities Jaganathpuri, Badrinath, Rameshwaram and Dwarika. The main attraction of the temple is black stone statue of Lord Vishnu. It remains open all days of the week from 6 am-12 noon and then from 3 pm to 8pm. The surrounding has good greenery but without maintenance. There is rectangular Parikrama-path around this temple. Also there is open discourse theatre in left. On right side are many Vedis where Yagna are performed. Temple is decorated mainly at Dussehara time/ Janmashtmi. It is under restoration phase and there is no proper maintenance. It can be developed as a good holy sacred place. See pics for more clarity.. There is a hotel named Yaduvanshi sweets in the road 30 m away from where sweets and chaats etc can be taken from the outside.

The place which heal you spirituality . This temple is situated in the main city near asuran chowk on the medical road. Very clean , hygienic , pure sense of relaxation ... the divine environment...

Incredible temple of Lord Vishnu, great place to visit with family..

Situated near Asuran chauraha this temple falls within 2 kilometres radius of Railway station Gorakhpur, and one of the oldest heritage of Gorakhpur. It was placed here on 8 May 1922 by Maharani Rani Shyam Sundar Kumari Ji. It is said that you can see God VishnuJi smiling in 3 different nature through out the day. Also, the overall temple is so huge & greatly build that it leaves everyone mesmerized. Note : I got the pic from the Google as I couldn't click one inside the temple.

This temple is the oldest temple of Lord Vishnu at Gorakhpur . Constructed in the 12th century of Pal dynasty period ,it is a heritage monument of India. The building is located in the Asuran Chauk area of Gorakhpur.about 2 Kms from the Railway station.White in color ,sitting at a height with many swirling pinnacles at the top. Main sanctum is of Lord Vishnu with beautiful black color idol.There four other small sanctum devoted to Char-Dham at each four corners.they are of Badrinath, Dwarika ,Ramehswaram and of Jagannath Puri. Overall a serene and religious atmosphere is here. Thursdays is the main day of prayer and relatively crowded. Satish Tripathi Gorakhpur.

1 of the oldest temple of the city Gorakhpur and its lord vishnu statue is made up of Sphatic.and its returned back from London. It's have great historical value.
