Virat Gadi - Park in Chaudwar - Cuttack, India

No one cares about this beautiful place... From past couple years it's not managed by any government.. I don't know why..

Experience of the place has been detoriated after COVID.No Boundary wall nowNo ,Green Outfield anymore,No beautiful flowers.No Caretaker. Could be much better spot if taken optimum care. Comes under Archaeological Survey of India. Historical place as heard of Pandavas residing at this particular place during their exile.

Nice place sure visit . According to the Mahabharat it is the capital of king Virat.

Chowdwar , Cuttack has many surprises and being an ancient place , remains a mystery. When discovered brings in delight and pride to as resident of this remarkable city. Locally known as King Virata's Seat , (Mahabharata Period ) located very near to the central jail. The archaeological remains of Baddhi reveal two phases ofstructural evidence after the recent excavation conducted by A.S.I Bhubaneswar Circle. The first phase has a laterite temple having pabhaga of four mouldings and four entrances. The second phase has a raised pillared hall with eight pillars; two on each side of laterite are still in situ over the earlier one.

This historical place has many ancient stories it is said that during the exile of Pandavas they stayed her for some with King Virat in disguise.

Good place, it is situated at Chowdwar.. It is also known as virat gadi. Historical place. So many years ago. A king was live here. This is beautiful place. Lovely garden are there. Big green field is there.. College students are celebrating their birthday here. Good place under cuttack district..
