Vindhyachal restaurant - Religious destination in Mirzapur - Mirzapur, India

The photo which has been shared is of Vindhyachal railway station from outside which is being upgraded and renewed. It is not a restaurant, It is a railway station. Let Google make this correction please. Few important trains are stopping here for both the directions i.e. towards Delhi via Prayagraj main station and Kolkata. Trains coming from Kolkata and going to the Mumbai site are also stopping here which goes through Prayagraj Cheoki station. Vindhyachal is a small but very important pilgrimage station. The famous Vindhyachal (Vindhyavasini) Devi temple is within 1 km from the railway station. St station, Retiring room is available but at present it is in a very shabby and unhygienic condition. You can have tea coffee from a small vendor but there is no cafeteria or restaurant /eating place at the station. For local transport, three wheeler means Auto Rickshaw are available. City main road is hardly 500 yards from the station. Railways have installed Lift and escalator on platform no 1 but it was not operational when I visited. It may be working during festival time (?). Arrival and dep announcements of trains are always done. The Rly police office is at platform no 1. Hope Rlys will make this station a Physically Challenged friendly Station as a good percentage of Travelers (who visit this place across the country) belong to 65+ age group and PH category.

This place is very osm and beautiful. There are many tin shelter which is good for every travelers. RPF police is very disciplined. Station staff is kindly and honest.

The station was clean but dustbin are the main reason of not fully cleanliness. All the facilities by the officials were good helping ticketing and security. Hats off to RPF jawans they are very strict to their duty. But the facilities around the premises are not good like their are shelters which were very dirty and odour full. Monkeys were also a threat there they stole your food in unnoticed. Otherwise they will attack you and snatch the food from your hands. Please don't give any kind of food item to kids otherwise there could be a big trouble. To avoid monkeys please give them some food far from your sitting or sleeping area so that you can have some snacks and food. That's all I feel but overall good railway station. Small railway station but one can see passengers round the clock as this is the closest railway station for Maa Vindhvasini Shaktipeeth. Upper class waiting room is there but only for the namesake! Ladies waiting room is also available on platform no. 1 but don't be surprised if you see men there! No food cart or shop on platform no. 1 but 2 shops are available at platform no. 2 & 3. One retiring room is there but seems always unavailable. Outside railway station huge parking space available, Mela hall is also there. Temple is around 1km from station.

A good place to eat especially for those who don't eat onion garlic

It is a calm place,but the retiring room was locked at night,while our train was late by more than 4hours.we had to stay on the platform only. Rest is ok. The station is clean n tidy.
