Villagio Munroe - Home Stay in Munroe Island - Kollam, India

Where do I start! Appu and his family(his parents and his two adorable nieces and his pet Gliffy) are everything you could ask for in a new place. They kept us company throughout our stay, suggested us to visit a couple of places, fed us with lovely heartwarming food, arranged the boat ride and patiently answered all our questions. We will remember our family trip to Kerala because we met Appu's family here. The best part about a place is undoubtedly the people we meet and the bonds we form. Special mention to Sia and Shanvi(Appu's two nieces) who are always brimming with smiles and conversations I hope I can visit Munroe once in awhile just to meet this family.

Had an amazing time over there. The most beautiful part of the place was the people. Everyone made us feel at home, and they gave us very tasty homemade food. Had a fulfilling time and the host appu was always ready to greet us with a pleasant smile. He had organised a boat ride in the early morning which was amazing. He was supportive and guided us everyday. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay!, Hospitality of the family is so good and so happy to choose the right stay at munroe Island. All kinds of activities and view point visit where arranged by the family, also had amazing food.

I stayed two nights at villagio munroe and my host Apuu was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. He helped me to arrange activities like kayaking and the family provided delicious food. Rooms were clean and garden was pleasant to sit in during monsoon. I would happily stay here again in the future

Actually, it was my best place where I stay in India. Appu and his familly are very good hostes. It is a calme and peaceful place to stay. The dinners and breakfast were delicious. It is a perfect place to have a local experience. I recommend this place.

The place Munroe Island is very beautiful place n stay and people like this makes it even more beautiful. The host Appu arranged everything and also helped us with reaching there or planning our day or even with going to our next destination. Very helpful and friendly host and also his mother. They treated us like a family and also served home cooked food which was delicious. Appu arranged cycles for us and roaming around the place on cycles was very beautiful. The stay was clean and good, green all over and also close to the water. Even if you are lost in the place if you ask anybody about Appu's place they will show you the way. Had an amazing time in this beautiful place and with this beautiful family. We planned for 1 day initially but since it was so beautiful we extended for another day. You should go for this place without a second thought. Loved it.
