Worst lodge in the world. The receptionists don't know how to behave . If some relatives or friends of any guest who is staying in the lodge come to meet from outside the people of the lodge don't allow them to enter. Very bad behaviour of the staffs , receptionists specially the receptionists. Don't go there . Seriously.

I really appreciate their fast action and also they informed that new beds are yet to arrive because of continuous leave! I will continue to book again in future just for this fast response & service! "A kind suggestion to management: in this competitive day, if you provide Free WiFi along with the same tariff will attract more customers"! Once again kudos to the staffs :) Posted on 1/1/2019 3 Star is only for Staffs and location... hotel beds are very old, No bedsheet or blanket provided, double bed rooms are dead small which is only 10x10!

Vijaya Sesh guest house. Chennai We went to this hotel with a big group of friends, both males and females. None of us were couples and only one married couple was with us. The hotel guys were not happy seeing our group. They checked who is staying with whom, the hotel staff was still very unhappy for some reason and kept asking questions to confirm guys and girls are not sharing rooms (which we were not planning to do anyways as none of us were couples, and we were just group of travellers). Though it was frustrating, we stayed calm and made it clear to them that girls are staying separate. But they still asked all 12 peoples ID cards and they wanted a form filled with details like who is sharing room with whom. It was pretty unpleasant and unnecessary check-in experience. I was very displeased with their questions at our check-in. Also, none of the staff spoke english which added up to it, language barrier was also one of the reason, they couldnt understand what I meant. The booking was done through online. I believe they should not look down upon us and doubt us unnecessary just because we are bunch of independent girls travelling with their friends on a group trip. It is a complete turn off for backpackers like us. It was very evident that they guessed that we were all young couples and just looking for rooms to share our beds with the men, this is the mindset most of the hotel managements carry in our country. Unfortunately, that is not most of our purpose while we travel. I hope you dont do the same with other travellers. At the end, all of us kept our rooms doors open most of the time, so that they can stop spying and be clear we were just tired travellers looking for a place to rest our head. Rest the rooms were okay. We stayed for a night and head out to our next destination.

very nice exp. people here are very cooperative, well behaved. cleanliness is maintained through out the day. ac rooms are spacious for a couple. i am coming here in this lodge at chennai regularly for last three years and living comfortably.

Average hotel. Furniture including beds are very old. Location wise the property is very ideal. Staffs are too good. Very near to ranganathan street. Price also little high compared to other hotels near by.

The stay was a pleasant one (its away from the busy Usman road), the staff service was good,the room was spacious and next to guest house is Murugan idli shop(a good restaurant). One thing I noted is that when rooms are full, the water in taps is slightly lessened which I didn't like, rest of it the stay was good.

Rooms are good but small..next to hotel itself madurai idli shop is there..so no worries for food..its good for families and business trip..better take AC rooms..we cannot withstand heat of Chennai in non ac rooms..
