Vijaya Coffee Centre (since 1979) Nanjundappa Idli Hotel - Restaurant in Tumakuru - Tumakuru, India

Had heard a lot about this eatery from food bloggers and fb posts. I thought I would give it a try.. It's a small hotel near to MG road which serves tatte idli and rice bath. Idli was soft and fluffy and topped with one big scoop of ghee (charged extra). Chutney was on a spicy side but tested well. Tried tomato rice.. it disappointed a bit.. I personally dint like the taste of it.. ended breakfast with a strong coffee.

We visited this place on Sunday early morning, fresh idli were over, pilaf wasn't tasting fresh either. Tea was good but Luke warm.

Good taste... Felt bit expensive... Chutney taste is entirely different...

In the middle of the city is this beautiful place which serves amazing breakfast. Especially the Idly being served here along with ghee put on it. Very good breakfast location. Must try whenever you are in Tumkur. It is very much crowded on weekends

This place is actually old. We guess they renovated this place. This place looks so new now. We found it so hard to find them place cause there is no board & inside you will see "i love idli", that's all. We had so much of expectations on this. But it's not upto our expectations.We had idly, vada & tomato bath. Vada is crispy & good. Idly is good enough but the chutney is average. Tomato bath also average. So don't have much expectations. Just visit and eat By the way the owner was very nice. He is a cool guy & treat the customers properly. Thats why we have provided good rating

This is a MUST VISIT place in Tumkur. The Thatte Idli here is simply superb. We went here at 6am and savoured the first batch of soft Idlies. Idli is served with ghee & garlic Chutney. Also try: tomato Bath, filter coffee

Being from Bangalore, this was the first time I planned on visiting Tumkuru eateries - of course, I had high expectations on the basis of some vloggers' posts. It was pretty empty when we reached the restaurant at around 8:45AM, the crowd started gathering post 9. Anyway, coming to the food, the chutney was good, not as spicy as claimed by others, idly was good too - Vada on the other hand was a really small portion and wasn't that good.

If you are in Tumkur, you must visit this place for their idlis. Totally amazing and tastes so good. Go early if you are going on weekends , on weekdays it'sa chill place. Idlis are so soft and tastes good with ghee. People here especially the owner serves you very well. Not to forget their vadas, so so crispy and tasty. Even rice bath is good. Totally a must visit place in Tumkur
