I give 5/5. Niranjan Bhat and his family are so cooperative as per the guests' needs. Their hospitality is the best. One can expect homely atmosphere with proper authentic Uttara Kannada food. It's a very clean place. We had been by KSRTC bus from Mysore. Niranjan had arranged a vehicle right from Sirsi bus stand for our pick up upon our request and made sure that we cover every important place without fail throughout our stay. So, when there's a plan to visit Sirsi, please consider this homestay.

One of the best stay at its service. This stay is located in hostota post unchalli. Rooms are neat and clean. You will get best homely and havyaka food here. Service provided by owner (@Niranjan Bhat) is top notch. Owner will make sure you will be satisfied with their services as well as owner himself will guide you to visit/ plan your itinerary in uttara kannada dist. This place is located 32km away from siddhapura. Fyi: stay is very nearby to bheemana eri gudda (view point) 10km, vatehole falls (8km) and unchalli falls (5km). I stayed here with my friends for 1 day with 3 meal with very reasonable price. One last note, none of the Network is available at this place. Owner will provide a wifi for usage and both cash and online pay is acceptable. Over all Thank you so much @Niranjan Bhat sir for a best service and guidance.

Excellent place. A simple homestay. Very comfortable. Very good Wi-Fi. Good approachable roads. Very near to Unchalli falls, Bheemanagudda and other places. Excellent hospitality. Awsome home food.

We stayed at Vihar Homestay on 29th, 30th, and 31st Oct 2022. I would say one of the best homestays I stayed till now. 3 reasons, one - The owner Mr. Niranjan Bhat is a nice person, cooperative, and helps in every way to make your stay comfortable and memorable. He joined us and helped to explore many hidden waterfalls, sunset point, and Aganashani backwaters.s. Second - Food was ultimate. Mr. Niranjan is from a Brahmin family and hence you get only veg authentic local food. You get to taste the local food which is prepared in his house and very tasty. Third - the homestay is very peaceful, far from the city life nested in a small village called Hostota, Heggarani. Lot of rare plants and flowers are grown in and around the homestay. Mr. Niranjan Bhat also does Honey Bee farming and he will explain in details how Honey bee farming is done and you get to have natural honey also. Overall 5 star rating for Vihar Homestay for their simplicity, service, Location and not to forget about the great local food.

Vihar homestay is a cosy setup in the remote hamlet of Hostota near Sirsi, with friendly hosts and a very peaceful atmosphere. Accommodation is neat and clean, right next to the owner's house. Niranjan Bhat and family strive to ensure your stay is comfortable and the havyak style food they offer is very tasty & hygienic. They have grown a very beautiful farm and Niranjan zealously walks the interested guests through it, sharing his knowledge on beekeeping and the special varieties of plants his family has grown. Niranjan also volunteers to help you explore some of the hidden gems in this part of the western ghats. They have also added WiFi service to their list recently. Overall, one can expect a very pleasant and refreshing stay in a homely atmosphere, experiencing 'homestay' in its truest sense.

Stayed with family in Oct 3rd-4th 2022. A nice experience. The hospitality of Mr Niranjan and Mrs Kavitha was very nice. The food reflected the local culture and tasty. The rooms are simple with basic facility that you expect in homestays and are neat and clean. The host have rich knowledge of the local history and places. They even organize trek to bottom of Uncahlli falls for larger groups.

If you live in concrete jungle and are here for a getaway then this is the perfect stay for you! The house will give you proper village feels! Most of the food served here is organic and is from the owner farm itself. He even does bee farming which means you get the purest honey here. The food is cooked by the owners wife herself and is very tasty. The owner is very polite and will help you with everything from your needs at your stay to planning your trip. We stayed here for one night and our next days plan was not sorted so the owner himself sat with us and gave us a route to follow and suggested us places that we can visit. My friend forgot her earphones in the room and did not realise it until the owner himself messaged her. He even agreed to courier it when he goes to the city. Pro and a con of this place would be there is no network here. However you will have wifi access.

Such Beauty We stayed at Vihar Homestay over the weekend and oh how peaceful is this place! The host, Mr. Niranjan Bhat and his entire family is very friendly Yummy home cooked food, beautiful view and a green organic stay! A must stay place when you are visiting Unchalli waterfalls.
