Good football stadium .There is also a swimming section ,Overall it is very well good stadium And proud of Barasat city.

The Barasat District Sports Stadium, also known as Vidyasagar Krirangan, is a footballstadium located in Barasat, on the outskirts of Kolkata, West Bengal. It is used mostly for CFL and I-League matches. It is also used for several district-level, state-level and, infrequently, national level tournaments. The stadium currently holds around 22,000 spectators, has four floodlight towers and different air conditioned function and changing rooms.[2] The artificial turf at the stadium has achieved a two-star rating from FIFA.

Such a nice stadium of North 24 Parganas, well maintained, well decorated, clean and secured.

Very badly maintained by govt. No real intent to make this place a great one. Astro turf condition is worst than ever. No national team wants to play here I league match due to bad ground condition.

The quality of the stadium is not up to the mark,, here is the reason 1. The stadium is of plastic grass, so there is always a huge chance to get injured, 2.seat capacity is low, 3.always a problem for drinking water and washroom, specifically for the ladies, 4.the size of theke ground is not as of fifa rule, 5. The stadium is not as organized to host a big match.
