The place is good but it opens after 5 PM. You must visit this place if old things and village life fascinate you. They have a restaurant too. Photography inside the museum is chargeable. For me, it was 200 a few days ago.

Vechaar museum found its way into Vishalla village restaurant three years after Vishalla. Vechaar is the only museum of its kind in the world, displaying such a precious collection of utensils. It is unique collection and if you love to explore history, you have to visit without fail. The museum will be closed on Monday. Timings: The museum is open from 3 pm to 10:30 pm. Entry Fees: The charge for the entry of an adult is Rs50 and for children aged from 3 to 11 years is Rs20. Rs200 if you wish to carry mobile phones or Camera. Additional Charges for videography Rs500.

Very well maintained utensils museum, it shows how beautiful and advanced was indian culture in it's old days. It also has small art gallery.

Vichaar Museum has one of the biggest collection of utensils in India. Their curation of Brass, Copper and Bronze utensils, containers, vessels, decorative boxes and huge scale cookware is impressive and worth visiting. They have created nice sections where they have gathered samples from all over the country. It would take around 1-3 hours if you want to spend some time appreciating the history of these beautifully made objects. Some of the forms and shapes are so beautiful that you would want to have them in your own house and cook or serve food in them. If you are in Ahmedabad and you have time you should visit the museum. They also have a Gujarati Restaurant which serves authentic Gujarati Thali.

Just WoW!! We generally say "Those good old days" and this is a perfect place to re-live those good old days. I am on a road trip starting from Aurangabad for a week but this is the most soul satisfying visit of all. There are many highlights in this place 1. A very unique utensil museum which will take you to your childhood in the villages. Mr Rajesh had the patience to explain every minute details of it 2. A collection of 4500 utensils. Surprisingly the whole collection is made by only one person. 3. The Food. We ordered Dhokla and one sweet made of Wheat Flour, Ghee and ghud and trust me I have never tasted such delicacies 4. The Rajsthani Dance and puppet show. The lady who danced with Pots on head there stole all our hearts with her performance. 5. It is worth watching the place at night which is lit by lantern and no light 6. Last but not the least, the pottery place. You can actually do that with your hands and Mr. Ramesh was very helpful there. He actually guided us in making pottery. Highlight of the visit: one of the pottery is 1000 years old. Note: Google maps show it is closed till 3pm which is not right as they are open in the afternoons for Lunch and trust me it is worth trying. We actually planned for a half an hour visit but ended up spending more than 2 and half hours Finally a must visit place in Ahmedabad "yaaden batorne keliye"

Fantastic, massive collection of utensils from the kitchen to perfumery. On the side some lovely wooden screens and pieces. Arranged.on earthen coloured platforms with dark wooden supports for the roof. The accompanying pictures tell their story. Do visit.

It is a excellent place to visit with family and let our future generation to know about the items used in ancient times. The measuim consists of more than 4000 different items along with 700 species of nut crackers. The amazing thing is some items are we never ever imagine about the size in our life time especially the locker. Many varieties of locker in bigger size. There is a unique water container is there which is in peacock shape. There is a Tajmahal which is made of 75,000 match sticks. There is a olden days 3D art which is hanging on the right side.

This is a part of the Vishala restaurant complex though housed in a separate building and accessible with a separate nominal ticket. It houses over four thousand old utensils housed in mud hut type buildings and covers every possible type of household utensil sued in the days of yore. The collection is genuinely fascinating, and row after row of utensils evoke interest. Value could be added by some descriptive plaques saying where the utensils were sourced from or their history. Also if the attendants would accompany small groups and talk about the same, it would make the visit more enjoyable. A good walkthrough while visiting the restaurant.
