venkalakkayam dam - Tourist attraction in Moolathara - Palakkad, India

I visited this place last weekend, and it offered a very peaceful atmosphere. The lush greenery was truly a source of mindfulness, and the absence of crowds created a calm and serene environment.The fact that there was no entrance fee. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place when you're in Palakkad.

One of the clean reservoir in Palakkad, Kerala. Not alot of people know about this place and i think thats what make this reservoir clean and pure. Not many plastic bottles, or pollutants around, which makes the pace even beautiful. A good place to spend the evenings along with family in summer. The Palmyra/Palm trees and the green grass landscape is the best thing there. Not many shops around, so better get something to eat or drink before reaching there. Preserve it!!! Please take back all your stuffs along with you while returning (plastic bottles, food wrappers, even chocolate wrappers) and don't plan to have a campfire there during summer.
