Velvet Clarks Exotica - Hotel in Zirakpur - S.a.s Nagar, India

Dear all, We booked velvet green banquet for wedding of my brother on 27th November 2023, zirakpur. They spoilt our function. Decorations were not done till 3pm until we went there to see the final preparations, we were told ki "barish ka mausam h isliye decoration start b ni kia" i.e it might rain today that's why we didn't start the decorations. After repetitive requests they started decorations. Decorations were so bad that sofa on which groom and bride were sitting was torned. Despite repetitive requests they didn't change the sofa. They charged us Rs60,000 extra for decoration (our decorations vendor name was VISHAL) but there was no selfie point no sofa no gazibo as told to us will be provided. Taping of the carpet was done in such a bad way that i could see people falling. The GM Mr. Maninder was very rude with my father he was very disrespectful that he started black mailing us. He was like either pay me the full remaining amount or I'll stop the bride entry. The bride was entering the aisle and he told his staff to stop her to which my father felt embarrassed and paid him the full amount. One of the snacks counter was placed next to washrooms which looked so bad. We had 10 snacks only a few snacks were served. Overall I won't recommend anyone to book this venue ever for wedding your memories will be spoilt for lifetime The sales manager for velvet green banquets is Mr. AMIT he also disappointed us. While finalising the venue he showed us fake And big promises but nothing was fulfilled on the wedding day

Had a great time with my family. My kids kids have enjoyed the food & other outlets of the hotel. They are serving amazing food & the only hotel that made us feel special at the time of departure by giving us a fond farewell & requested us for the cake cutting ceremony. Thanks again.

Spacious and clean room and good service. Keep some time for the checkout procedure as they will check the room to see if you have used anything from the mini bar. The buffet breakfast spread is good and starts at 7.30am. Be careful to take the service road instead of taking the flyover as there is no opening after the flyover to switch to the service road which connects to the hotel.

I did not like the hospitality of the this hotel. Three of my family members stayed at three different rooms and we were not very happy with the Wi-Fi quality yeh hot water didn't work. They didn't never total dirt they could have given us a Wi-Fi extension. There was very basic rooms. nothing too crazy. The only thing about it was that the rooms were spacious, but we did not have a very pleasant stay here. They charged us a lot and Dom for the money charge. We did not really feel like it was worth staying here. It's a very average hotel for an 4 star hotel don't go. The worst part was the location. There's nothing nearby to of my family's kids lots of very high fever while we were staying here.

Alert !! Kindly be aware of this greedy Clark's hotel whose managing director is so kind and humble by his sweet conduct he tried manipulating us. We booked whole hotel for our marriage. But these people just for some mere amount of money cancelled our whole booking after 2 months. We're so much harassed, we tried calling head office and did the best we could but no action was taken. Our due date of marriage was so near and now we're unable to find any suitable option due to heavy season. So kindly book your events carefully.

Food was good. But cleanliness was and service was bad. The rooms were spacious though. Doesn't deserve to be 4 star, maybe 3 star.

So, the location of the hotel was so bad, No valet nothing. Secondly when i checked in, there was lack of room servicing, i ordered something and they didn't even bother to do so. Ac was not working after complaining 5-6 times someone came then he fixed it. Wifi was not working. And this just a basic things, The main issue, which is related to hygiene insects are roaming here and there i specially go to the main desk but they even dont care. They dont bother about someone's hygiene how can be hotel rated 4 star. Insects, no amenities, no housekeeping , they dont even care for someone even there are ordering or not. Ac not working, wifi not working.

I found their suit rooms very spacious, neat, and clean. Location is also near Chandigarh at the beginning of Zirakpur Bridge. There are a lot of party halls for arranging banquets from small corporate parties to big fat weddings. The food menu and prices were okay.
