Really wonderful fort, but very poorly maintained. Especially back side and all.The creations like solar,wind power systems are there, but mis used.if the entire surrounding is properly cleaned and maintained, more tourists can be attracted..

It's a good place to visit when the weather is good. The place is a stress buster. Outside the fort there is a small park which closes at 6 and the whole fort including the temple closes at 8. Google timing is wrong. You can also climb one of the fort walls but it closes at 5 pm. Everything is free not tickets required.

Great place to pass the time. CMC Vellore Very tired after seeing the dr all day. right now I feel better when I come now. The afternoon breeze, what a sweet feeling. It is not understood if it does not come.

The fort was at one time the headquarters of the Aravidu Dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire. The fort is known for its grand ramparts, wide moat and robust masonry.

So beautiful And peacful place. In one word - Awesome! Because there are many trees a beautiful lake.Which will make your mood really Peacful. It's an amazing place. Birds flying, Dogs running,Kids running, Everyone is in a good mood. -Good Mood Guaranteed

Park is good in terms of space and it's views but being just close to main road , it's not quiet place to sit and enjoy, you will find good amount of crowd here in evening in even usual days , The park gets more beautiful when sunset completely and lights gets turned on. If you are coming here by walking from cmc silver gate you will find many store in the path and will also give you a glimpse that vellore is not just what you have seen near cmc area it is more than that, and market is big.
