Vellore Cant - Train station in Vellore - Vellore, India

Vellore cantonment railway station is having good facilities. But least no of trains are operated here. A small snack shop is there. There is no vendor available for food in morning 9.50 AM. A few local trains originate here for arakonam, chennai beach. There is no dustbin found in the platform.

The railway station was neat and clean. It's one of the main stations after katpadi junction. Railways should make the station bigger and provide more trains towards south tamilnadu.

The Vellore Cantonment Railway Station is located in the Cantonment area of Vellore, which is a city in the northern part of Tamil Nadu. A few Passenger and Express/Superfast Trains stop here. The station has both a regular ticket counter and a Reservation Ticket Counter. Many people are using the reservation counter for ticket booking here because the Katpadi Junction reservation counter is always crowded. Therefore, they prefer to come here to reserve their tickets. The station one of the very oldest station in the city.. In this station all trains are come and stop here then only they start there journey.... Here available ticket counter and recervation counter. You just come here and reserve your tickets in any where in India.. In this station share auto facility available here.. you can use this vehicle you can go in any part of the Vellore city... Here Parking facilities available here CHARGES:UPTO 24 HOUR'S ByCYCLE- Rs.5 Motor cycle -Rs.15 4wheeler - Rs.25 Here FREE cooling water facility is available in 24 hours... Here fly over is available in this station you can go one plat form anothe plat form easily..... Yet, the cleaning and maintenance the track and surrounding was Very poor manner...

If you are near to CMC then you can catch train to Vellore csnt without going to Katpadi but not all trains run here so if the train passes through the station then you will get facility.

Its the 2nd railway station after Katpadi. Where we can find trains for south india,tirupati,pondicherry,etc., its well maintained and located in centre of Vellore.

"Vellore Cantonment" It is one of the Railway Station which will be always rush free. Chennai Beach Train, Thiruvanamalai & Pondicherry and some more destination have been reached from here. The Station is situated on Villupuram - Tirupathi Line so if you want to arrive in between Location you can prefer this Junction!!!

Ticket counter is very poor and more communication problem , ticket counter people know only hindi.not good
