The owner didn't even acknowledge our presence in the shop. He was attending one other couple for over 20 minutes. I just stayed In the shop because of the love for the painted tiles and wanted to take one home as a souvenir from Goa. Otherwise would have left the store in an instance. I recommend any other shop than this.
We are fan of Mario's cartoons and buy good collectibles that depict Goan spirit. The place has tiles, wall hanging, crockeries, candle stands, framed cartoons. They also make to order ceramic items name plates etc. All material for ceramic is imported hence a bit pricey.
This shop has a good ceramic selection , a lot of the items are imported from Portugal. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great design, good craftsmanship and service.
Church is massive.. infrastructure were huge .. all decorative things are attractive.. they have mini museum inside church... Nothing much attractive.. l post some of the photos of museum status... Once visit place . Not more than that .... You will not find and food court or washroom near by . So prepare your self for that.
When I visited Goa I happened to see the work on tiles and I loved them and visited the Velha Goa Margao gallery nice place friendly staff. Bought few items and ordered name plate for home in Gurgaon and received the plate as ordered and intact. After seeing mine few friends also ordered the name plates. Ms Hema soft spoken person coordinated well and we received what was ordered. Highly recommend the place to visit.
