Good place for a authentic filter coffee. Velan kaapi is a huge chain of coffee outlets running in coimbatore for decades successfully. Coffee is priced at RS 30. Excellent place. Not so crowded, gets crowded during peak hours.
It's quite a big place, with open air seating for the most part. The filter coffee is absolutely amazing, with an option for jaggery instead of sugar. The bajjis and cutlet are really good as well. Prices are not very stepped up.
Best spot for Kaapi lovers. Great Quality. Must try - Onion Samosa & Butter Biscuit .
Price range: Tea -15/- Coffee:20/- Always crowded. They don't sell tea and coffee powders here. The taste of either tea or coffee stays in your tongue for more hours and it's a bliss that they're present here in our city to provide such an amazing refreshments. Snacks ain't provided here. Both tea and coffee are not provided at all the joints. Only some of them have space to accommodate a lot number of group.
When I asked to use restroom for my child, the staff had told it a big complex we wont allow you... you use the road side for your baby... it's was really bad.. when have a access for restroom not allowing for customers instead saying keep your baby road side.. these words really hurts a lot. #Velancoffee you have big complex and lot of branches it's all because customers only. When you use these kind of words to customers you will also see the fallback..
Nice place for real coffee & Tea lovers . If u go in the peak times may be you will not find space to sit . But u can serve your self standing. They also introduced samosas recently. It is nice and crispy. Tea it is 15 Rs . It is worth. U have option of white sugar and normal sugar as well. I really love this place. But only thing is parking. It is an issue. If u r driving car may be you have to park in smaller streets and walk a bit . Two wheelers if u are lucky u will get the space in front of the shop itself

Great coffee! Great spot! Great vibes! I personally love it!! It has enough space for about 10 two-wheelers to park. No space for cars though So plan your visit if you're in a car. Otherwise it's a fine place to have traditional South Indian filter coffee.
