Writing this review to thank the management for making my spouse's first childbirth a safe, wholesome and memorable one. Right from admission the team took good care of her until the time of discharge. The team of nurses were caring and supportive. I'm finding words to express my gratitude for their service and hard work. Sincere thanks to our O&G Consultant Dr. Shanthi who referred KS Hospital for delivery. I request the management to control mosquitoes inside the hospital, as Chennai as a City is well known for seasonal Dengue outbreaks every year.

This is one of the best hospitals I have come across in my life. The staff is respectful, disciplined maids, especially the food. The taste that they provide for such a low cost is definitely a talking point. The doctors are kind to the core. Regarding the place, it's well maintained with very minimal mosquito presence. Keep it up! Pros: Doctors, support staff, food, environment. Cons: Hardly any, but I have feedback. Restrooms in the rooms are very small. They should be a little larger for easy access for pregnant women

Our experience- 4/5 - Regular checkup doctors 2/5 - Night duty doctor 2/5 - Nurses 4/5 - Anastethisia Specialist 2/5 - Delivery experience Think thrice before getting admited here for baby delivery; Regular Doctor- We consulted Dr Sharada Shakthirajan who is very nice and polite throughout the 6-10 months regular checkups. She has always been caring to her patients. Only thing is these doctors will not be there if you are going through delivery at night. So no point in following and appreciating regular doctors as they wont be available when you actually need your best doctor. For past four months we have been consulting her: Not even a single advice or clue about c section was given and she was always positive about normal delivery throughout. This was clearly misleading the patients intentionally when all of sudden on due date they advise for pain induce and ends up concluding c section telling us height and baby position as a reason. They just try to finish the risk & task by due date even if the pain doesn't come naturally on or before due date. Doesn't she know her patients height for past 4 months consultations.??? She could have given a headsup about height and baby position. Then how come babies are delivered with less height in ancient days?? Very disappointing!! Primary doctor- The primary doctor Balakumari confirmed in very first instance that normal delivery is not possible due to low height and baby position. She has concluded the very first 30 minutes when patient just came for pain indice then why can't regular doctor Sharadha Shakthirajan couldn't advise the same to the patient during all her checkups?? It is highly contradictory stand between the doctors which will take you in surprise during delivery date. Strong coordination is required between them and more transparency should be given to the patient "during regular checkups." It is disappointing that even Government hospital staff put efforts to ensure patients go through successful normal delivery; Night duty doctor- Above all, our experience with night duty doctor Maragathamani is pathetic, she was very rude; In every 2 hours cervix checkup she just walk away without any care to give updates to husband and relatives. More than three times she made others just beg her to give next updates: Very rude and Unprofessional as we are not taking treatment for free. It is a nobel profession and you got to be kind for what we pay for or Probably she gets very tired and unfit for night shifts. Hospital needs to seriously look into it. Nurse Experience- Rooms in first floor are small, nurses do a lot of loud gossips that baby gets up from sleep very easily. Inspite of this they advise us not to talk in the room. They need to maintain silence and professionalism. Anasthetsia Doctor- Dr Shanmugam did a great job and very professional in approach. With due respect to all the doctors and nurses, we thank your support and above is only an important criticism to improve your hospital and staff on the long run. More positive reviews are highly suspicious!! Overall from our experience , the hospital is fine for regular checkups but not an advisable choice for baby delivery decision.

Hi, Please consider this review before going to the hospital. You will see more cons than pros. This is my real experience with KS hospital. After saw many positive reviews from many people we planned for delivery here. Started checkup from 8th month. Dr.Sharadha Sakthirajan who was very nice, polite and soft spoken. Even I have checked with other doctors named Nandhini, Sandhiya. All are good and humble. So we were very happy and proceeded for delivery. Doctor Sharadha cleared all doubts and taken good care. Before due date went for final check up. She said all good, baby's position, heartbeat, etc. She was asked me to come on the due date if pain is there. Otherwise we can get admitted and we will induce pain. 10/Apr/2023: It was my due date. dr.Sharadha checked in the morning at 10.30AM and said the uterus is not open. Hence I have admitted for inducing pain. Around 11 they have put vaginal medicine for inducing pain. I have started getting pain slowly around 12.30PM Dr.Balakumari was checking me and said the cervix is open only for 1cm. And she told me that for my height(4'10) normal delivery is not advisable. She didnt give me exact reason why height is a problem for delivery. My colleague also has same height and she got her baby delivered through normal in the same KS hospital. That's why I went to this hospital. But she was saying "do C section or else you can wait for 4 hours and try for normal if you wish". We got suspicious because maybe they are planning to do c section to get money. Hence we waited for normal delivery. Around 4PM the water was breaking and we called the nurse. They just saw and went. I have started getting more pain (both abdominal and back pain) and struggled a lot. During that time one nurse came, checked my pain and said "it is not at all delivery pain, for this pain itself you are behaving like this." She was talking harshly and not at all consider the patient's struggle(maybe because she is yet to marry and dont know what it would feel like). Again they have checked around 12AM next day and said the cervix is open for 4cm. But the pain was unbearable. When we were checking with doctor they were urging us to do c section otherwise again 4hours we need to wait that too to give a try for normal. But we waited. The doctor also said they will check after 4hours but they didnt. Finally doctor came at 5AM and told the cervix is open fully but the head is not fixed. So it is better to do c section. At the end whatever they expected happened. We have accepted for c section after 18hours of pain. Here comes the sweet part. The nurses have taken me to the Operation Theater and kept me in the bed. They have kept two ACs with high degree so I was shivering like anything(thought I will be frozen in sometime) since I wore only hospital gown. They didnt care at all that I am shivering. One doctor was saying to switch off the AC but after multiple reminders they switched it off. But I was shivering after shifted to room. During the operation also they were discussing about different places need to visit and not at all thinking about the operation. After delivery they have told that baby got jauntice. They did phototherapy. The nurses are very impolite and making heavy noises near our room so our baby couldnt sleep properly. The doctors also throughout the delivery didnt tell anything clearly to my husband and family regarding the situation. My husband was literally running and begging behind the doctor to understand the situation and what to do next. After delivery one nurse was saying "I know that normal delivery is not possible for your height from starting itself". If you are going for checkups the doctors will be very polite. Once you got admitted the duty doctors only will take care and they wont consider anything and will treat you as a machine. For the sake they will do checkups and delivery for the patients. The nurses also very lathargic and make fun of us. No doctors will come during discharge. Only nurse will give instructions. Very horrible and bad experience for my delivery.

This is the place where I had very bad experience with Dr. Balakumari. I was asked to meet her just because I was suffering from vaginismus. Painful intercourse and had hopeless dreams on getting conceived. Met this doctor and got blasted that she was too rude and not understanding my fear on vaginal scan. I was done hymenectomy due to painful intercourse in my hometown hence u was feeling difficult to cooperate with this doctor. But she never understood instead was so rude asked me to take mental health course for 2 years. Who will wait for getting a baby for 2 years. Already we are 2 years late. Also she was treating me along with 7-8 students for which I was even more not comfortable. I begged her to treat but she was tooo rude and asked me to go. Will any doctor says this yo a patient????. I am not holding a 7 month old baby boy with gods grace and my very good doctor at my hometown who is my god now. Never reach a worst doctor like Balakumari. She only work for money not with heart to understand patients mentality she want her work to get done on time. Please don't consult her if you are a soft person seeking a genuine doctor and proper treatment. She is worst pls don't waste your time, money and hope to get a baby

Truly, one of the best hospitals in Chennai . I delivered here a couple of days back .. throughout the pregnancy dr. Sharradha chandrasekar took care but due to unavoidable reasons she wasn't around for my delivery.. but dr. Padmashri was truly like an angel.. she handled every phase of labour so beautifully !! The staff nurse comforted and made me feel home right from admission till discharge !! No unnecessary interventions or charges... very nominal in terms of money too!! Grateful forever

Great support and care from Doctor Nandhini who took care from 1st month till the delivery. Really Happy with the way other doctors Sharadha mam and Padmashri mam support also. Nurses and house keeping were really polite and helping a lot. Felt like being at home during the stay in hospital till discharge. Big Thanks to KS hospital Team !!

Had my wife admitted here for delivery. Very experienced and kind doctors. Thanks to Dr.Balakumari, Nandhini, Sharadha C, Padmashree and Sandhya. Whom we consulted during the course of pregnancy time and they have guided us throughout for preparation and till delivery. They gave full confidence and it was a normal delivery. I would recommend this hospital to my friends.
