Vir Bhumi is the final resting place for Rajiv Gandhi who was Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989 and who is credited for initiating IT and communication revolution in India. He was killed by LTTE cadres during 1991 general elections in Tamilnadu. This memorial is on Yamuna bank which has memorials for Mahatma Gandhi, Jawharlal Nehru. Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi and others.
The Vir Bhumi is a memorial dedicated to the former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated in 1991. The memorial features a sculptural group of lotus flowers, which you wouldn't know was a memorial except for the wall of honour with a biography of Gandhi. There's also a second wall with a portrait of Gandhi amongst the general public in bronze relief The memorial is situated close to many other Samadhis inside the memorial park including that of Mahatma Gandhi, and the mother of Rajiv, Indira. The memorial is somewhat innocuous looking, but for its proximity to that of the 2 aforementioned memorials. I wouldn't go out of the way to see this unless you're already visiting Raj Ghat.

The whole park is worth a visit. Allow time to see more than just the memorial to the great Mahatma.
