Awesome place to have idli and dosa in Chidambaram. I know this place for last 22 years. The taste has remained same over the years. Highly recommended if one visits Chidambaram.
A small place which don't even have a name board! There are only four to five tables but the place is clean. So you may have to wait. Don't think of this as a restaurant and expect good service. They serve mostly only Idli. And that's what the specialty of this place. Five small idlis for 30 rupees with delicious chutneys and kosthu.
This shop is open at morning and evening . They serve only Idlis and it is good too. But the owner of this shop is a head weight guy as if he gives free to everyone. No respect will be given and the Idlis will be very small and if you see the rate it is expensive. Minimum 6 Idlis which charges around 40 rupees and parcel charges if you take away it . If someone who sees self respect please don't ever go to this shop .
Even if you are not an idly lover when you taste it here you will like it and say "give me more " that's the speciality of this place . Customer service : POOR Example is they will provide you with enough of kosthu but not the other chutneys (coconut &,kaata chutney) besides this it's a good place to eat Price :Rs :40 (6nos ) ,podi will be charged extra Rs 10 .
Can you imagine.. Hotel which has Idly without sambar.. That's what uniqueness here .. Idly and sambar no more dependent !! No sambar for idly !! Only opens at eve to ni8, idly (mostly) and dosa are the foods to expect. Where they are Severd hot and brinjal kosthu is the special side dish. Parcel of idly take time, depends on the crowd.there are only 4 or 5 table,and the price is too affordable. overall nice place to dine.
