Varandas de Canacona - Villa in Canacona - South Goa, India

Varandas de Canacona is a stunning property located on the Talpona river and Wilbert is the perfect host and makes sure everything is organized to make your stay a comfortable one. Stayed here with family and we had a time of our life, from kayaking to swimming in the river to playing indoor games at the rooftop lounge.The rooms have a panoramic view of the hills and the river and Galgibag beach is just a walk away.I can't wait to go back.

Just loved our stay at this stunning setting! It's such a beautiful location with the river and birds chirping in the balconies. Our room was a river view room and what a view it was. Both Canacona and Palolem beaches are also closeby. And most of all the staff is so helpful and always smiling. For us this is going to be our go to place from now on in South Goa! Full marks!

This is an absolutely gorgeous place, right from the service to the location and the vibe. The hospitality was on point and the people were great. Nothing compares to the gorgeous view and accessibility to the beach. They even have their own kayaks that you can rent out and take around the lake to experience the stunning sun set view. Planning to go back there in December!

The river club here serves to be a special niche in all of Goa! My friends and I were hosted by a very warm and generous staff. The best and by far the most unique adventure here is kayaking! we were given basic training, equipment and safety lessons and before we knew it we were in the middle of a beautiful river with mangroves on one side and the beach on the other! We kayaked across the cold river, noticing birds, fishermen and a unique view old Goan houses in the silhouette of the setting sun. A few meters away, the river opens into the sea, a small lagoon creates a private beach and diving site where one can enjoy the sunset! (There are beer holders on each kayak to keep the drink stable and away from water). There were no ways, directions or zones! it was an open field and we could explored it till our bodies gave up of exhaustion! I would definitely recommend The River Club to be on everyone's 'Goa' To-do list!

Me and friends visited this place with slight doubt as it was our first time there, but it turned out to be the best place we've ever been in south Goa. First we were impressed by the view from this place and agreed to stay there, but then most importantly we've loved the fantastic service and hospitality from our host 'Wilbert'. You should definitely try kayaking if you visit this place. Overall It was fun, adventurous & great experience staying there.

Wilbert our host is a very warm personality and great company. Having an adventurous, outdoors fit person as a host is always a +. Be it taking u kayaking or organising treks. The ladies church out some amazing local food

Varandas De Canacona is a hidden treasure and is the best getaway if you are looking to get away from the hustle of the city. Wilbert is a great host and goes out of his way to ensure your stay is comfortable. The home is right on the river with its own private deck. The surrounding beaches are private and are undiscovered gems. They offer a contactless check-in and follow all Covid 19 precautions. It has the comfort of all amenities with good wifi. We enjoyed the breakfast and the chance to go kayaking on the river. We hope to visit again soon.

Perfect place to be (incl. with 2-3 families). Wilbert is a great host. Rajbagh beach is within walking distance. Perfect for people searching peace as the place has both 'sunrise' & 'sunset' balconies on the Talpona river! Tons of things to do, so plan to stay atleast a week.
