Vandaloor zoo - Zoo in Peerakankaranai - Chengalpattu, India

A must visit for every Indian visiting here as this is definitely one of the best zoos in the country. It has a diverse variety of animals and birds. Very reasonably entry fee. Animals are well fed and kept hygienically. Most enclosures have sufficient place to walk and play around. Some spaces need certain improvement. The work is progress is also visible - keep it up . The down side is that the washrooms need to be kept cleaner. People visiting here just be responsible to keep the park clean.

It was an amazing experience since I visited the zoo 13yrs before. We went on weekdays to avoid the crowd and see the animals Peacefully. Pathways are neat and clean to walk and cycle rides but the water inside the cage for animals to drink or play is still dirty. And can see people are feeding the Deers should be avoided by the zoo keepers.

Good place in chennai to spend time with children. If you can walk for 4kms along with children you should try this zoo. In the entrance they have a restaurant where you will get sambar sadam, curd rice in low budget. The perfect time will be after lunch to wander in the zoo. There is not much animal left after covid. But You will find lions ,tigers, white tiger and some wild animals and more birds in the zoo..

Vandaloor Zoo is conveniently located and easily reachable by public transportation. Parking facilities are also available for those traveling by private vehicles. The admission fees are reasonable, considering the quality of the experience and the contribution it makes towards animal conservation efforts. and the cycle facilities also available you can rent the cycles at reasonable price.and I have reduced one star because of food availability. The availability of food is minimum and bit expensive thanks you.

Well maintained park..u can spend upto 3hrs there . battery car is available.. bicycle is also available..need more energy if u r planning to walk around the park...wide variety of birds tiger elephant giraffe r there.. outside food is not allowed..if u r planning to go ,go by 10 am so u can cover there before noon..after 12 pm crowd will be there u HV to wait there long time for battery car to come.

VERY INTERESTING IN SEEING ANIMAL BIRDS REPTILE AND FISHES ALL TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE BUT ONE THING IS MAINTAIN OF ANIMAL GAZES IS TOO POOR AND NOT CLEAN

The zoo and Jungle safari was great. Food was quite costly and they don't allow outside food in the zoo . Roaming around in electronic vehicle with a lady driver was great experience. Overall the experience was marvelous

Had been there in childhood. It was my favourite spot as we get to see the animals. But this time it was disappointment. * Animals are considerably less now * Rest rooms are so poor. Simple unusable * People work there try to loot you. Guys running the zoo round vehicle directly taking money from people and allowing. You will be sitting for hours in line but some people will skip and directly get into the vehicle. Voice out if you see it * Food in canteen is not good. * Still can visit once for your kids.
