Vanadurga Fort that was once used as a station by a unit of a royal force. The fort is located in the village of Vanadurga in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district in Karnataka. The fort is also known as Wanadurga Fort. The fort was built by Krishnappa Nayaka, the ruler of the Shorapur Nayaka Dynasty. There is a well and a temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Hanuman. Remarkably, the fortification walls and the citadels of the fort are still in good condition.
Soo nice clean and clear
Superb place ...a nearby fort to shorapur fort ,which is famous for TAYLOR manzil ( the buliding ,when main door is pushed or opened all 7 doors inside will open) ..and shorapur fort is in history as venkatappa nayak fought in indian struggle for independence , the wanadurga fort is now destroyed and encroached by locals, need a very good rehabilitation by govt..
