It's little difficult trekk (walk) to reach near the waterfalls. Not very easy for non trekkers for the people who are around 40 plus. Young people may find it easy. Also you should not take it easily and wear proper clothes like full comfortable pants and preferably full sleeves t shirts and proper shoes. There are leeches in the jungle area so u should keep a chk and get rid of them while walking. I suggest to take a guide with you because it is difficult to find a path of waterfalls. When u actually reach there, u ll be mesmerized with the breathtaking view.
Highest waterfall in India. Adventurous and quite thrilling experience you can expect at this waterfall. Earlier it was an all hiking route but now the pavers and steps are constructed but you can only use that to go up to the viewpoint of the waterfall as shown in the image attached to the review. Beyond this point you hike to the waterfall.
Great scenic natural beauty. Great combo of trek to waterfall and naturally surrounding beauty. Due to monsoon and landslides, trek to the base of the waterfall was closed. Thus, we admired the beauty from a distance. Trekking are restricted in monsoon, so you need to enquire before you go. Rs. 50 per head entry ticket. Crowded during monsoon and weekends.
Best experience we've had. Had to walk for Atleast 4 km and the route is more interesting than the destination , i would say that every group which has interest in trekking and more adventurous type routes . you must visit this place . There is entry fee of Rs.50/- but it's totally worth money as you can experience this type of trip only once in life time. Beware of leeches , so it's mandatory to weaf shoes and don't be worried it doesn't cause any pain or problem .
The ride to the falls is as exciting as the view of the falls itself. During monsoon, you can hear the falls from quite a distance on the way. The view is magnificent. The trek is not difficult, the path can be a little tricky. Careful with the fauna around, there was a green snake we missed to notice and the trekkers behind us took it's pic and told us we just passed by it. You cannot reach to the base of the falls as it is closed due to landslides, but can view it from the steps. There was very little crowd even during weekends. Post the trek, we tried the homemade buttermilk and let's just say that it was a perfect ending to this adventure.
This is the tallest waterfall in India, with a height of 1,250 feet (380 m). It is located in the Sahyadri Mountains, near the town of Bhambavli in Satara district. The waterfall is a popular tourist destination, and is best visited during the monsoon season (June-September) when the water flow is at its highest.
The waterfall itself is amazing.. it's said that it is the tallest in India. But you have to be physically fit in order to reach nearby. The route is very tough. Avoid taking kids and elders.
Awesome place for adventure lovers. Watch the video on my youtube channel for full details including how to reach. YouTube Channel - Blooming Safar
