ies are indeed true - if you want to experience exceptional Punjabi food at a ridiculously cheap price; this place is for you!We had three punjabi thalis (black daal, cholle, 1 gobhi parantha, 1 aloo parantha and 1 plain parantha, curd with boondi, onions and mango pickles) - Kari Fry (a delicious curry made from curd, 2 bottles of coke and a mineral water all for 955 rupees (about PS12 uk pounds!!) Every bite was just next level, you need to try it to know what I mean.Bad points - room was a little dirty and had an unpleasant odour; I know this is expected in India, but this is a renowned restaurant and I felt they could easily do something about it. It is down some unexpected side ally ways but dont worry there are plenty of people around during the day so its pretty safe.Please dont let my above statement put you off as it could have just been the stupid hot heat and time of day we got there (mid afternoon). Any hungry traveller in Amritsar just has to try and get to this place; every auto/rickshaw driver knows how to get there so just ask.This midway attracted us. Clean and spacious. Popularly Famous for Punjabi cuisine only.Pls do eat Dahi / Curd, I have never seen, tasted such rich fresh creamy layers curd...
