On a hectic day, we were drooling for something to fill over our tummy, so we ended up visiting this place twice a day. This restaurant is near the busiest Panjrapol Cross road, and it is well known for its South Indian breakfast as well as Fixed indian thalis and Meals. Their Mysore Masala Dosa was wholesomely flavourful, and that too with Filter Coffee made like cherry on top. However, thali was just okay. Ambience was best as you can have a view across from the glass window while having your meal. Pricing is decent, and seating arrangements were well maintained. The parking issue is there because it would be filled out in no minute due to being so congested. Overall, for breakfast, this place is the best option for light on tummy items on their menu.

I visited this place for the first time. My wife has been regular to this place and it was her wish to visit this place once for early morning breakfast. You get feeling of old city cafe while entering this place. I specially loved the location of this place located on cross roads. We had Masala dosa, Mini uttapam & Filter coffee for our breakfast. Dosa and Uttapam both tested best with the old city ambience this cafe gives. There are very few places in Ahmedabad where I like sambhar and this place became one of them. Staff was excellent and polite. Rates of the food items were reasonable. It was lovely breakfast.

One of the best diners..!! Pros: 1. Food is really nice. Taste is great. Quantity served is pretty descent. 2. Service staff is humble. 3. Seating is comfortable. 4. Fair pricing, but not completely reasonable. Cons: 1. Service can be little quick. 2. No parking facility. 3. Can be bit noisy due to its vicinity to traffic signal. Undoubtedly a must visit place.

I am a regular customer for this place since 2006. Still the food test the same and delicious. At that time they had a student Thali for the nearby college hostel students. Owner is very polite guy. Good customer service. Must try the full Thali here (Punjabi / Gujarati). Also, try south Indian dishes such as Masala dosa & filter coffee. Very authentic test of south and value for money every time. Keep up the good work.

This is old is gold wala south indian restaurant in Ahmedabad. It's very old and lots of people having find of eating south indian dishes here. It's in the middle of the city and proper corner location of Panjarapole. Seating Arrangement is good. Cleanliness is good. Service is Amazing. Price Affordable Quality Awesome Quantity Sufficient. We have ordered 1 Palak Uttapam Really it's fantastic dish. Very best in taste. Liked it. 2. Medu Vada Always liked this dish here. Vada is tasty and crunchy. When they fall in Sambhar it's become amazing taste. Size of Vada is really big. 3. Filter Cofee If you are lover of cofee then it's a perfect place for South Indian style Filter Cofee. A bit string cofee makes your mood fresh. Loved filter Cofee. Bole to ekdam zakkkas place for South Indian food in Ahmedabad.

We ordered regular thali at Lunch. Quality of food is ok as per Rates. 1st time I get rosted cockroach in rice. When I complained they Replace it with Another Thali but 2nd time I get some wires of Dish Cleaner. But their response was casual I complained about Hygiene n Quality but they ignored Us Will never visit such cheap restaurants.
