I recently had the opportunity to visit this temple and it's grounds, it's a nice place to relax, especially for people who are traveling. The temple's architecture and lush green surroundings create a beautiful atmosphere that's suitable for relaxation and reflection. While it may not have all the amenities of modern parks, it's an okay destination for those interested in history and culture. The blend of nature and tradition makes it a decent place to spend some time.
I went there to just wander around (first time). The temple is amazing. Since I reached there around noon, I was not able to go inside the temple (went to Thrissur for another reason). The park around it is nice to walk around or to just sit and relax. You can also see some elephants.
