We had Best Homely Food at Vathiyar Mess .. Taste was great specially Sea Food, Owner & Staff was very polite, had great time for Family Lunch & Dinner .. Felt pleased and happy

We ordered veg meals, chicken curry, & fried fish. And I must say every single dish on the banana leaf was worth eating. The service was super fast and the staff was extremely sweet. Really relished every bite of food served. Must visit!

After a very dissatisfied food experience in Kanyakumari, we decided to find a local favourite on our way to Rameshwaram in a little town called sayalkudi. After being recommended by a local auto driver, we came to this typical local mess that serves absolutely fine fish curry rice. They have a few other dishes in seafood and mutton. They do not serve anything chicken. The place is always packed. With locals. Food is made with love and cooked by the members of the family. A must visit place if you are travelling to Rameshwaram from Kanyakumari. Or the other way around. this family is kind and very hospitable. Highly recommended.

While going to Kanyakumari from Rameshwaram we came across Vathiyar Mess. The food here is homely. They specialize in non veg food, however even veg food is good. Fish curry with rice, prawns masala, squid masala & fish fry was awesome.

Both veg and non-veg was delightful. Highly recommended. Their service also nice. So kind.

Excellent place for sea food lovers. Meen kolambu and fry was amazing .. best of them is kanava gravy must try. Its a small place and cost is also decent. If you are travelling near Rameswaram or kanyakumari do visit this place for a lunch you wont regret.
