Good seafood restaurant... As the rating was quite high, just went to explore. Food was great, I tried squid fry with paratha. The ambience was a bit in shadow.... Customer traffic was normal, may be because there are lot of seafood restaurants around this place...

Had tuna and prawns fry along with porotta and appam this time. Both were extremely tasty. The fish gravy and salads served along with each item is excellent. Reiterating , Usthad hotel is one among the best spots for seafood in trivandrum.

We happened to drop into Usthad hotel , Vizhinjam as we weeee recommended this place by a close friend . It's quite a normal place with very less facilities . Everything about the place is basic from how they make you enter to the facilities inside -expect a wait time of 45 mins -1 hour You get everything from the sea here - very fresh and large portions . It has less spice and cooked quite simple If you're ok to eat in a local place . This place is good . Service levels are basic as well .The lemon tea is quite good here . The prawns and the akoli was quite nice . The king fish was substantial in qty but Xpress ration wasn't great . The squid was a bit rubbery The prices are a highlight as I don't think you can get fresh seafood in large quantities anywhere But for sea food lover this place is really great !

Okayish experience. We went around 11pm. Service is little poor. Food quality not that great but price is very less. We had ayala fry(4 pieces), kappa, appam, porotta along with the lime tea for 354/-.Lime tea was exceptional. Rest all were average or below average. We even found a dead fly in the kappa, but didnt bother to complain. Overall, i expected better but it was just okay.

Usthad hotel is the name we heard from lot of people when enquired for sea food near Kovalam, Trivandrum. As recommended we had enjoyed their sea food delicacy. There a limited seats and need to wait but the food is worth for the wait. Sea food was fresh and sold at a nominal price along with Appam, Kappa and Parato. Highly recommend this hotel if you are a sea food lover.

The place was very crowded even though we reached the place at 9 pm, we had to wait outside for around 30 minutes before we could get a seat. The service is good, they allow you to get to the kitchen side and pick out the fish which are available at that particular time. Fried items are their speciality and the food is amazing. There is plenty of parking space. The atmosphere is nothing too special as the place looks Just like a generic restraunt but the FOOD is what you should go here for

Usthaad hotel is the One of the Best sea food restaurant in Trivandrum. There are wide varieties of fresh fishes available over there and each and every item are must try items. Dishes are very spicy yet tasty.

Usthad Hotel - Drove a long way due to its popularity, ordered two fish dishes, but they tasted disappointingly bad. Parotta and Appam were okay in taste but came in small sizes. Customer service didn't meet expectations. Seafood prices were very high; 500 Rs. for prawns with average taste.
