It was exciting to visit a place which had religious significance.
Brahmasarovar is a lake situated in Thanesar in the state of Haryana, India, which is considered extremely sacred by Hindus. A huge fair is organized here on the occasion of solar eclipse. On this occasion, lakhs of people take bath in Brahmasarovar. Spread over several acres, this shrine is currently made very beautiful and furnished. It has been given a very scenic appearance by the Kurukshetra Development Board.
Brahma Sarovar is a sacred water tank located in Kurukshetra, Haryana, near the Krishna Gate of Kurukshetra University. It is believed to be one of the most ancient and holy places in India. It is said that taking a dip in the Brahma Sarovar during the solar eclipse can help one attain moksha (liberation).
The lake is surrounded by Mahabharat war scenes with beautifully sculpted scenes along the sarovar walls. This is the place where Duryodhan hid before his death defying duel with Bheem.

Best time to visit temple is around 2pm to 5pm. Poojan Samagri (flower, Prasad, bhaag k patte) are available at nearby shops. Shani temple and Bala ji temple is also nearby so you can visit all these temples in one go.
