Urban Turban Bistro - Punjabi restaurant in Mussoorie - Dehradun, India

Very friendly owner. We visited here on the very first day it opened after renovation. The owner recommended us his best dishes and everything was yummy n Punjabi style spicy and flavourful we tried kadhai paneer, mutton rogan josh, chicken Changezi and garlic naan. Definitely visit for some yummy food after a long and exhausting walk on Mall Road

It is located on 1st floor, on Mall road. It is a bar-cum-restaurant. I visited it in October 2023, and had Chicken Changezi, which neither looked like changezi, nor tasted like it. But it was decent enough in taste(almost like tawa chicken). Tandoori rotis were good, not hard. But Lachcha paratha, was very small and thin. Ideally 1 lachcha paratha is equal to 2 rotis, but the lachcha paratha here was just like tandoori roti. So dont spend 65-70 Rs on it, instead spend Rs 25-30 on Tandoori Roti. My total came to about Rs. 630 for 2 people. Place was clean, hygeinic, service was good. It also had a small bathroom.

We visited this place after a long stroll in the roads of mussoorie, it is situated in a very crowded market. Well the owner was very generous as he welcomed us in even when some renovations were going on..they suggested us to try paneer lapeeta as starter and woww I never had enjoyed such a dish. A must must try..had tandoori soya chaap as a take away and it was delicious as well..a must visit place if you enjoy proper Indian cuisines.

Nice vibe, lovely food and good staff and owner. We tried their malai paneer with lacha parantha, both of them were really good. Although the price in the physical menu they provided was 300 for the paneer but they charged 320 on the bill saying the price has increased but not updated yet but apart from that very good price experience. Must visit if you want to have punjabi food in Mall Road.

Awesomeness at it's best, rice mutton and starter all were just perfect. Aloo dum dish was simply awesome nice stuffed with great taste. Service was fast. Card payment available. Lime soda and tea was good but not best. Mutton rogan was perfectly marinated and prepared. Price is affordable. Overall i would say it's a must try restaurant in musoorie.

The Bistro is located on the first and the second floor of a building. The stairs are very easy to miss on the ground floor. The second floor has one big and one small table. The washroom is not clean enough. The service is quite slow and I didnt find the staff very friendly. The ambience was quite good though. We ordered papdi paneer, as it sounded interesting but the taste was overcooked papad was too prominent. Didnt like it much . The restaurant isnt budget friendly either.

The Tikka is to die for. Did not like the chicken Dal makhani was amazing. The staff was good and the owner helped us to decide on the food as few items on the menu have a different name

Tucked away in a quite corner on the first floor lies this amazing Indian restaurant, which we somehow missed on our previous visit. Even this time, we just got lucky as this was the only place open by the time we came out for Dinner. But what an amazing place to be at. Ordered Mutton Rogan Josh, Aloo Jeera and Parathas and loved them. The mutton was well cooked and super soft while Aloo Jeera was perfect. Parathas were made of Atta and done well. Neat service and fine ambiance. A must visit for Indian food.
