This is a hostel run by the Government of Odisha for the girls belonging to SC/ST category. This is a 500 bed hostel where the inmates can stay here and pursue their education ranging from 10+2 to graduation and post-graduation. Inmates come from various far flung areas of Odisha where they can't afford to receive education. It's location has a lot of advantages. Prominent schools like DAV Public School Pokhariput and Kendriya Vidyalaya-6 are located at a stone throw distance from this hostel. Reaching out here is very easy. If you come from Mastercanteen area, then you need to board the route number 405/423 bus of DTS by paying a sum of 10 rupees. If you come by train then, you can get at Lingaraj Temple Road Railway Station which is very close to this place.
Now the Building is running through Solar Energy.90kw solar power plant was installed in the Rooftop of the building sucessfully.Cira Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd sucessfully installed the power plant.
