Pretty good ambience. I would say the place is bit over-rated for the limited items on the menu. The taste and quality of food can be improved a lot; however, it's worth a visit considering the shack settings and the view of the town. Service is tad on the slower side and the presentation of the food seems to be the same for every dish you order. A good chef can make this place an interesting place for a greater dining experience. Again, on a personal note, bit over-rated for the limited spread!
The stars are for the ambience. The place feels and looks really nice. A rooftop arranged with plants and lights adds beauty. However they can improve the taste of the food. would like to see the difference. Overall a good experience to come over and spend some time with family or friends. Expect a good amount of bill. Had an unexpected but wonderful culinary experience at Uptown shack restaurant yesterday. The "injipulli prawns" starter provides an absolute kick to the proceedings and a must-try! The chicken Biriyani and the konju roast chuttu masala was also amazing. The latter recommended by the waiter and went excellently with Kerala parrota! The icing on this culinary delight was their speciality dessert "chocolate sphere". The dark chocolate together with hot sauce and cold white ice cream results in a plethora of taste bud explosions for the sweet toothed ones! Overall the atmosphere and ambience is amazing with a shack feel together with natural breeze ! While we went as a couple, it is certainly kid friendly and safe- going by the other families with kids who were there. Might be worth booking in advance if large groups....as they can get quite busy.
Ambience here is the best you may find in Thiruvalla. Food menu is ok with carefully selected multi cuisine dishes. Service staffs are attentive and well mannered.
A unique place and beautiful views from the roof top. Food was all fresh and had a great quality to it. Customer service was good. This restaurant is pricey compared to other places in the area so be prepared for the bill. Overall a one time visit restaurant for the experience.
Had dinner at the rooftop. Pretty warm in summers . Otherwise it's a very nice place to be. Good food and choice of liquor - beer, hard liquor and cocktails. Indian whiskies r rare in the rooftop but is popular in the sports bar below. Food was awesome. Good quantity and authentic preparation. Weekends r crowded and u might have to wait for seats to be allotted.
