Farakka barrage project higher secondary school was established in 1965. 1.Number of students - Approx 1100 2.Number of Teachers - 34 ( 25 contractual and 9 permanent) not adequate teachers available , teachers are taking at least 5 classes per day . Someday provisional class also allotted 3.Infrastructure- Tapped drinking water, proper lighting and fan , old model benches, old Blackboard in classrooms, one smart board recently installed, Bicycle stand for boys and girls 4.Library - available but not operational 5.Laboratory- in good condition and continuously improving 6.Computer Lab - approx 15 computers available 7.Playground- Large playground but Maintenance required 8.Auditorium- Newly constructed Auditorium called Nibedita Bhavan has sitting capicity around 600 people. 9.students teacher ratio - Not maintained as per RTE act. 10. Instruction Medium- Bengali 11. Board - West Bengal 12. Coeducational- no 13. Office- computerized office but not adequate staff 14. Duty hours of teachers - 10 Am - 5 Pm, 2nd Saturday - Holiday 15. Attendance system - Biometric attendance system
