Upper Kolab dam - Tourist attraction in Lauriguda - Koraput, India

I don't know what I was expecting. But it wasn't a wow feeling once we reached there. with restricted Access to the Dam the experience doesn't stand out. The Gardens are not landscaped - which I understand is excellent for biodiversity yet not good for tourism. A place like this can be a huge attraction for tourists Yet so much is missing.

Awesome place for leisure and to spend some time away from busy life.. around 40-50 km from koraput town... You can enjoy the afternoon and sunset here .. completely calm and away from the city hustle..

It's a dam. They have a park where you can have picnic. They also have rabbits where you can feed them Good to go with family or friends.

Nyc place to visit for sunset great view of dam. U can get som some snacks near childrens park at dam.

This was an unexpected discovery for such a great place closer to Koraput. The place could have been well maintained. But the layout, parks and facilities are very planned. Just needs a bit more maintenance.

The upper Kolab dam is also a scenic place near Jeypore, Koraput. Upper Kolab Dam is constructed across river Kolab, a tributary of river Godavari, in Godavari basin near village Korenga.

Just awesome ...Filled with natural beauty Don't forget to take food while going to this place because there is no any hotel . Only a small shop is there where ice cream , biscuits , water etc are available. And most important is mobile network not available here . However this is a very very very beautiful , peaceful place . Must go

The place is beautiful.. but there is zero or next to none maintenance. The weeds have overgrown in the park. Two parks are almost dysfunctional. Boating was not available.
