Upper Deck Resort - Resort hotel in Lonavala, Kune N.m. - Pune, India

The view of the hotel was amazing, the scenery around is great , climate is ideal for a small vacation. Everything is good except the services. The road leading up to the resort is not safe. The rooms had no cleanliness, there was no toiletries . There was no room service staff wasn't responding at all. There was no menu / self order services only one buffet which had almost no options. The morning breakfast was the most terrible experience, the food was limited. And was taking hours to be re filled. When asked to see the manager he didn't come instead sent a chef, who had no answers as to why there is no fillings in the paneer paratha,. We were then told to talk to the head chef then checked . Even after all this the manager didn't come to talk. The staff was not at all supportive. In short terrible stay. Worst staff at a resort. Totally bland taste food.

Simply breathtaking views and memorable stay.... The view of the hotel is amazing, the scenery around is great , as this place is near lonavala the climate is ideal for a small vacation. The road from Lonavala station to the resort is not good. The rooms are neat and clean, there was no water in toilet when I visited there. The room service staff are always ready to help you and responding well. The morning breakfast was the best experience, the food was limited but very tasty. The manager was very helpful. The paneer paratha was very nice. The staff was very supportive and always ready to help. In short very nice and memorable stay.

This place sounds like a scam, had visited it long back had a decent experience and food was pretty okayish. This time I booked via MMT and it showed ala carte unavaliable, spa unavailable,pool unavailable. I called to confirm they said, no room service and ala carte and spa. Only pool is available. So basically they want us to eat the same for repeatedly and go for buffet. Apart from the view there is nothing much to add value to this place

Hi.... The location is good. But the approach road is very risky and in bad state. No valet parking. No one was there to guide outside reception. We had to park ourselves and carry our bags to reception. Rooms- average, bad rainy stinky smell( no value for money) Towels , water bottles , toilet tissues were not available in room,we had to ask for. Food quality was satisfactory but only buffet system available( 1250 per person is costly), no a la carte menu and no room service. No arrangements for fasting items except two fruits after telling in advance.... Though the location is good the property is not advisable for risk free travel and stay... Thankful to night reception staff for providing assistance to collect some emergency medicine from pharmacy. Staff is cordial but poor management.

Amazing location, one of the best in Lonavala. Upper Deck resort does justice to its name. It is situated on the peak of a mountain and surrounded by valley, mountains, and a lake. The road to the resort is rocky and unmaintained, but it's part of the experience staying on top of a mountain. It will be helpful if the resort management put up a few sign boards on the way up the road to the resort. Initially, the room allocated to us was one of the old rooms of the property, having old decor and some misplaced furniture. On request, the resort manager was kind enough to allocate a new room on the upper level. The best time to visit Upper Deck is during the rains we visited in summer, still it was quite pleasant during morning & evening. The property is well maintained, rooms needs better maintenance, good food and good service by each staff member

The rooms were not worth the experience you are looking for. Old property. You just pay for the location. The food was good but you only have a buffet with timings to adhere to. So if I planned for my weekend to have fun late at night, I won't be able to order ala carte and will have to stay hungry if it is late than 9:30 10pm. Not expected for a property for which I paid a hefty price to enjoy monsoon. The road is narrow and tough it is tough to maneuver but the bright side is the location which was only the comforting factor

Looks like paid rating. It was worst experience. 1. Condition of road to reach this 'so called resort' is not good. 2. You will feel bad small in cottage. 3. No room service available. I have to took my food from their restaurant to my room. 4. Food was ok ok and you have to eat from there restaurant only, since this place is away from the town. 5. Swimming pool water was so dirty. These guys are doing fraud while assigning rooms as well. I booked cottage, and they start showing me normal rooms, I denied to checkin then they shown me cottage. For good view cottage they will say it's occupied. If you really want to go, take cancellabile booking. And don't checkin without taking your room. They will insist to complete checking process before showing you your room. You will get very good hotels inside town and if you want to enjoy view, there are many points which gives you awesome view. Local people will guide you. Not worth to spend around 10k here.

Road going up to Upper Deck Resort is very steep and in bad condition and just one single car can squeeze in. Pl shut the A.C., roll down windows and then proceed. In the middle strech of the climb there are homes being built just on the road and lots of chicken roaming around near these homes. Make sure not to run them over. There are no lights on the road, evening drive is a bit of challenge.
