Upasana Park (Bisarjan Ghat) - Park in New Town, Chakpachuria - 24 Paraganas North, India

This is the place to immerse the Idol. The area is bit small but we'll maintained. From all over Sector V, New Town people come to immerse the Idol in different Puja time. It's located almost 500 meters away from Biswa Bangla Gate

The visarjan was taking place in a very systematic manner. They had also organised performances by the respective complexes . The wait time was 3-4 hrs minimum . They had deployed several swimmers who were constantly swimming wearing life jackets and removing the idols to create more room for new immersions . The flowers and other stuff were not being thrown in the water, they were being dumped separately, which was another good thing.

Bisarjan Ghat is located near New Town Police Station and Tank No. 9. There are all kinds of Thakur Vishrana arrangements here....... Small carnivals are held here during Durga Puja and Kali Puja. Very tight security is provided by Technocity Police Station and New Town Traffic Guards throughout the parade...... Parks are built along the canals to the right and left of Bisarjan Ghat. Picnic spots and rentals are available here, apply to Hitchho. There are picnic spots numbered 1 to 8. You have to carry everything yourself to the picnic spot........ The party has the facility to sit on beautiful chairs and you can sit on these chairs and enjoy the natural beauty to your heart's content...... Pay and use toilets are also available next to the Biserjan Ghat. You can use it anytime......

The only ghat at newtown used at bisharjan purpose. The authorities used skilled people and made ramps for bisarjan purposes. Kolkata police maintain traffic flows pretty normal during bisarjan time. To witness birsjan, easily authories had placed a giant lcd screen.

This place established at Newton Action area-1 is a replica of the famous and historic Upasana Griha of the Shantiniketan. This place is a really quiet and calm place to spend some quality time even with nine but yourself .

The Upasana Park Bisarjan Ghat, New Town, has recently come up to cater to the needs of various Clubs, Committees and people during the Pujo in Kolkata. The idols are immersed here in the water body after the Pujo gets over. The place can be reached via cars or other private vehicles, as public vehicles do not ply here. There's an adjacent park, but the place is mostly empty. Only after the Durga Pujo gets over, the idol of Maa Durga is immersed here and then there's a lot of activity. The place is thoroughly guarded by the police and authorities, who do a great job of making sure the whole operation goes on smoothly.

The perfect bisarjan ghat at Newtown, all facilities available while bisarjan like medical team, police, rescue team and it's always neat and clean, i enjoy watching bisarjan over there.
