Upahaara is a vegetarian restaurant located near the Ernakulam boat jetty on Cannon Shed Road. It is a small and unassuming restaurant, but the food is excellent. We tried the Mysore masala dosa, idli set, and sambar vada. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared. The dosa was crispy and flavorful, the idlis were soft and fluffy, and the sambar vada was perfectly balanced. The proprietor of the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. made sure that we were happy with our meal. There is limited parking available at the restaurant, but there is also parking available on the roadside. I am not sure if there is a toilet facility at the restaurant. Overall, I had a great experience at Upahaara. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious vegetarian meal in Ernakulam.

Great place very near to the Ernakulam boat jetty on the cannon shed road. Very clean, honest to goodness pure vegetarian food without any artificial flavors with the udupi heritage. The color scheme and the ambience of the place simply add energy in addition to the very tasty food. The quantity is simply amazing, and one should be very careful in ordering. The staff is very helpful and courteous as well. Overall, it was a very good experience and a pleasant surprise.

My 3 day trip to kochi for the marathon was made pleasant because of healthy & tasty food at upahaara. Well,I ate 5 times here,that should give a fair idea of why I returned each time. Affordable price, lovely hospitality and a small hole in the wall kinda place with about 6 tables! Does get busy,since the locals frequent it for the north Indian food and bfast. Can't recommend this enough! Cheers

Ducking away from Kochi rain, I had the good fortune of encountering Upahaara. Modern seating, open kitchen, clean handwash area and moderately priced fresh food- couldn't have asked for more! Chutneys were fresh and oh so flavorful. Warning- pooris are big!

The clean premises, great service, friendly staff, nice ambience, & a very convenient location -that is easily accessible for both locals and tourists alike- all together contribute to making it a highly recommended dining destination. Mark my word, this new kid on the block is going to make waves soon - if not already !!

Dosas at its best! Tried Kutty dosas and Ghee roast, comes with 3 chutneys and tasty sambhar. Excellent Paneer tikka, served with pickled carrots and beetroot is a must try. Butter naan with paneer Butter masala too was really good. Good service.
