This unknown monument of Adilshahi period was an tomb monument meant for Afzal Khan the military general who served under Muhammad Adilshah . Afzal Khan had built the monument for himself but killed by shivaji at Pratapgarh Maharashtra and he was buried there itself .Now This monument reminds us only as cenotaph of Afzal Khan .It lies around 4 km north west of Bijapur insignificant in its size but still retains its beautiful architecture worth visiting place for history enthusiasts.
