When you entered in pondicherry,,, i think this is the first beach,,,, it is near to pondicherry University,,,, i went on the occasion of Holi celebration..... after playing Holi we take a shower in sea,,,, nice experience,,, there is no restriction people here came and drink bear as you see in my photos,,,it's safe you came here with your family, friends and others..... i first tym celebrate Holi here and it totally awesome experience....
Clean and calm beach. Not many people visit this beach so you will be able to find empty spots easily. Water is clear and blue.
One of the unique beach of near by Pondicherry to spend lovely morning and evening time . Best beach to relax and enjoy the Sunrise ....but not safe in night Time
On 12th Oct 2023 Bioluminescence has been seen in the beach it was very beautiful and it has been seen unexpectedly once in a while.
University Beach is not a proper beach by any means, it's more of a shore. Being near to university, university students visit here often for the cool breeze and calming sound of the sea! It's worth spending some time here! You can find many crabs too!
Not a clean beach it is actually fishermens beach mainly but at evening people can take a stroll here and enjoy sunsets and Sunrise PU students usually come here to relax and take a break from daily life it's the closest beach to the university. There are photos of Moonrise posted which was pretty amazing in real life which cannot be captured by any camera we were lucky enough to witness it.
Good place to spend time with friends during evening. Best place for couples to chat and share time. Usually less crowded.
This is not proper beach, but you can have some fun with your group. calm and clean. I enjoyed this place very well.

For guys who do not have any problems with loud chattering and noisy surround. Not for couples or moody groups. Must try beer - Bro Code (Bottle is half but Alchohol is 15.5%. Sweet taste like Wine and low soda with super smooth)

It was better than expected. Large open area. Nice pool and rear exit to the beach. Rooms are OK. Bathroom OK. Food could have been better. Overall good for the money compared to nearby ripoffs.
Located just before the sea so nice view. The room was too small, no ventilation, the bathroom was the worst experience. They locked the door by 10pm and did not allow us out so had to climb four floors to have that beautiful view to the sea. Emergen
