Best for south indian food in old rajinder nagartheir Coconut chutney is too good

If you are looking for authentic south Indian snacks then this is the place. But its a bit overpriced, otherwise place is good. Easily traceable from the main road. Students overcrowd the place. As there is not enough place to sit and eat. After serving the food you have to be hurry as other people will also be waiting to have their snacks. Overall good experience. If you are a South Indian you would definitely love the place.

South Indian Food place. Nice and economical..

Of all the places I've visited in and around Delhi, this restaurant seems to be the only one delivering top-quality south Indian food. It is best of you want to have food served in most parts of Karnataka. As far as the pricing is considered, I can assure you that it's quite economic for majority of the crowd (students majorly) that dine in that restaurant.

1.Good place to have breakfast , lunch, dinner. 2. Food dishes are very tasty. 3.Coffee/ tea is served only if u order breakfast. 4. Only outh indian items available here. 5. Well aintained , cleanliness is above 5 star. 6. when u compare hotels in old Rajendra Nagar are dirty. 7. Cost of food items is reasonable. 8.Especially thali is good everyday u will find different curry, gravy items. 9. Staff is very polite. 10. Located at convenient market place. 11. God gift hotel for South Indian vegetarians. They are servicing for students not for money personally seen . 12. It's a non AC hotel. So during summer afternoons it will be very hot inside the hotel.

Homely restaurant. Quality is usually good. Authentic South Indian, Karnataka style..(of course..Udupi). Still mentioned because most would not know even in South Indian food there are regional variations of preparing the same dish. Sometimes, sambhar is not that great. Would be good if they start home delivery. This restaurant is functioning from more than 35 years. And despite good quality, it has not grown much. Only subsistence business. You need to change with time. Bring online presence and home delivery. If you have no resources, there are many options that take care of logistics such as swiggy, uber eats, zomato, foodpanda...

The restaurant entry and inside.was clean. Idlis were a bit raw. Dosa had a good filling of potatoes. Filter coffee was not the traditional filter coffee served with a glass and katori, instead it was served piping hot in a small stainless steel mug. I had to cool it down in my used sambar katori :(. Priced reasonably. This restaurant is at least 25 years plus old, been there since my childhood. Food tastes a bit less better than the original taste, I guess that is how it is all over anyway.

They have excellent Thali system (with unlimited rice and sabji). Food is hygienic and tasty. But one thing which I found out after eating there (for almost a month), that they discriminate against non kannad (non south Indians). U will see it too. If they (south Indian students) ask for certain things like Papad and all, the restaurant doesn't charge them but If you are not south Indian then they will charge you for extra rice plate or Papad. Genuinely seen that and it's bad so stopped visiting the restaurant. But anyways food is good. Try having Thali there.
