UDP Unit of Udupiwala - Restaurant in Haldwani, Bomari Tallikham - Nainital, India

One of my go to place to have lunch. Food is quite tempting/delicious. The South India cuisine is very good but the north Indian is one of the best in town. Hygiene and quality is top notch. Highly recommend.

I found this place better than udupiwala kathgodam on the basis of ambience, cleanliness, staff and food. So i have tried the following dishes 1- malabar paratha is lachedar paratha served with sabji ,dahi and achaar . Each layer of paratha can be seperated it's good and delicious. 2- family dosa - can easily fill stomach of four adults .it is crispy on outside and filled with paneer and aaloo masala on inside served with seperate coconut chutney ,tomatoe chutney sambhar and plates for all. 3- soup- we have tried cream of mushroom and hot and sour soups both were good. 4 - starters - chilly paneer, kebabs ,and paneer tikka is what we tried it was yum too.spring roll were kinda oily 5- kali mirch paneer and mix veg, raita is good Malai kofta has a too sweet taste and high amount of elaichi powder. Garlic naan is good . In last visit manchow soup was kind off smelly due to mushroom The staff is attentive and polite Ambience is good South indian food is superb Other cuisines are also great Cons- On a busy weekend or rush hour it's service becomes slow. Their washroom needs maintainance.

I found this place best one to dine in whenever I feel like dining out for a change. It offers good atmosphere, delicious North and South Indian foods and prompt curtious service. One more positive aspect with this place is the ample space it offers for the small gatherings. Keep it up

I enjoyed my experience at the place. The food portions were generous and satisfying. However, when I visited, the parking area was full, and I had to park a little distance away. The service was a bit slow, probably because the restaurant was completely packed. Despite that, the food itself was delightful, and I especially loved the chutneys served with dosas. We were so full from the main course that we couldn't try the sweet dish, but I'll definitely make sure to save some room for dessert and/or tea/coffee on my next visit.

I finally found authentic filter coffee in haldwani at this restaurant.. butter masala dosa was also great

Best experience. Delicious Gobhi Manchurian with steam rice as recommended by Nandan Singh. We also loved idli and Vada with sambhar. And not to miss tea and filter coffee Thank you so much. Must visit UDP!!!

As a South Indian, i can surely say the Masala dosa of this place was the closest to the authentic one you could try around in the region.

The ambience was overall good ..it is made precisely but the taste matters the most not the looks. the taste was pathetic , i ordered dosa , malabar paranthaa, chilli potato...not even 1 item was good in taste ...my experience was very bad.
