Very interesting map View's really I likes
Nothing to look for here. Worst place to visit. Some steps taken for planting tree by govt, no shop even for buying a chocolate. We went there by bike, yes there is good road but you have to rent a car or have to take bike. I had a high expectations as it's only bird sanctuary of Jharkhand but dhu!!! worst experience. No maintenance at all. Pieces of broken wine bottles scattered here and there. It's unsafe to travel with ladies. May be if in group. It's waste of time and energy.
Memorable place
I just loved this place. It is just outstanding from nature point of view. Your arrival will add glory to this very Park. Stare the scenic beauty and time will stop for that moment for you.
You can ignore this place
Udhwa Bird Sanctuary, spreading in 5.65 square kilometers is the only bird sanctuary of Jharkhand state. The only bird sanctuary in the entire state of Jharkhand is situated near Udhwa; locally called Patauda Lake. Hundreds of migratory birds reach here every winter even from Europe and Siberia. This sanctuary is one of the main appealing locations of Sahibganj. People can observe numerous varieties of birds here, both local and migratory. One can also carry out hiking activities in this region. The rivers are also perfect for fishing. This avian habitat comprises two backwater lakes over river Ganges (Ganga) namely Patauda and Berhale. Migratory birds reach here every winter from several parts of the World, including Siberia and Europe.[5] The main birds include the pratincole, egret, wagtail, plover, lapwing, stork, ibis and heron.
Only ruins are left of past glory. Place is encroached upon by illegal activities. Illegal fishing is rampant. Birds don't come here anymore.
