Nice place. When Uddhava ji came to Vrindavan and met Gopis, there were crying for Krishna and wid the tears of Gopi this kund was created.
Located to the west of Kusuma Sarovar and lying on the right side on the parikrama (Circumambulation) path is a place called Uddhava Baithak which is dedicated to Uddhavji the cousin brother of Lord Krishna. There is small temple at this place which is dedicated to Uddhava and has the deities of Lord Krishna and Radha. Behind the temple area there is a large Kund known as Uddhava Kund, actually built by king Vajranabh in the honour of Uddhava (dear cousin of Lord Krishna). The Kund is entirely built up of red sandstone with a series of steps on all four sides leading down to the water. The place has its spiritual reverence owing to the fact that Sri Uddhavji is still present at this place praying for the love and devotion of Lord Krishna in the form of creepers and can be seen if someone with utmost devotion and love chants the harmonious names of Radha and Krishna here. It's said that once Uddhava, who was a great apprehender of Vedas and had pride in his extreme knowledge on the request of Lord Krishna went to Gokul. On reaching Braj he was surrounded by the gopis who enquired him of the message of Lord Krishna for them. On watching the miserable condition of Gopis and Radharani, due to the intense feeling of separation from Lord Krishna and their utmost love and devotion he was completely moved. Thus Uddhava who had come to impart his own knowledge to gopis got the actual knowledge of extreme love and devotion from the illiterate gopis and realized the importance of prem- bhakti (Love devotion) and regretfully fell at the feet of Sri Radharani. With the blessings of Sri Radharani he still resides at this place in the form of a creeper smeared with the dust from the feet of gopis. At this place Sri Uddhavji also narrated Srimad Bhagvata to King Vajranabh and the wives of Lord Krishna.
