Udayagiri Fort - Featured Reviews (1080)
Visited on Wednesday. Charged 30brs for 1 person. Fort is poorly maintained. Saw some deers, which looked famished. The inside of fort is not at all maintained. The children's park was waterlogged. Not worth the visit.
This is not a good place for spending holidays. I think this fort is good, but when we came with my family, they take parking fees for four wheeler 50/-, on the roadside of the fort. And the entry pass is 30/- per person which is wasted. They kept some birds, lovebirds, parrots , and some deers in each cage. Deers are kept in dirty places. Nothing to see there. Money wasted. I didn't know why they charged for visiting this place. The place is all in maintenance works.
Udayagiri Fort in Pulliyakurichi isn't just a historic spot; it's like stepping into a green oasis. With plenty of trees, it's a perfect place for kids to play, couples to relax, and everyone to enjoy some home cooked delicious food. There's even a cool treehouse to explore. Birds chirp overhead, and you might spot a few deer, adding a touch of nature's charm. It's a unique blend of history and fun, making it an ideal spot for a day out.
A somehow a well preserved nature. Habitate for a lot of plants, trees and animals, which is evident when we reach their. A very good/safe place for family/kids. But could have been better with maintenance by making the place clean. Can see a lot (I meant it), a lot of plastic bottles thrown by the visitors can be seen everywhere. I request the management to make it clean to attract more tourist's. Also a grandma in entrance bought 50 rupees for parking, but there is no parking lot or even sufficient place for parking the vehicles on roadside, I somehow managed to park nearby the entrance.
Padmanabhapuram palace is an ancient palace of great historical importance located near the palace. Its preservation as a historical monument is a complete failure. An entry fee of Rs.30 is charged. Monday is a holiday.
Not recommended to visit. You have to pay rs 50 just to park the car on roadsite and another 30 rs per person to enter the fort. There is nothing much to aee inside the fort. It's nkt maintained properly.
We the public request to government and the concern department for take action for this park and make maintenance... Pls take care of the birds you keep there.. the peacock looks like not eating food for last few months.. We pay 30rs for entry fee and 50 to 75 rs for car parking. Waste of money.. .. the kids play area was very worst . This is the big request from public
Best place to walk and view the beauty of nature. The fort is open all days(except festival holidays) with an entry ticket of 20Rs. Need to improve the maintenance. There is a small zoo inside with deer, peacocks, monkeys, eagles, etc. Kids can enjoy it! Visit to get the historical experience!!! Having issues with parking four wheeler, if government take action to solve it, more people will visit the fort!!
Very calm village adjacent to a National highway, with a pond that has lots of water to bathe, a couple of temples, ideally located with plenty of temples within a radius of 10 km, a waterfalls nearby, all together an exotic area to chill, clean stay
