Udamudi Shri Bettada Ranganathaswami Devasthana - Featured Reviews (508)
Deity in this temple is unique. Seems very old temple and was very happy to visit. Many devotees were present to get blessings on weekend. Can drive or ride on top of the hill or walk from foot hill or from the mid point where sheltered staircase facility is made. This temple is situated on a hill amidst a jungle of ~1400+ acres (as told my a localite) which has boars, peacocks, leopard etc., peacock sight is common when we visited.
Every time we visit this place, we can always feel that calm and soothing aura. In short, it's truly divine. It's an ancient temple of Shri Vishnu ji, and every prayer is answered. You'll feel blessed.
The temple without door / gate . Small trekking to reach the temple. The view is super cool. Peace and spiritual Spot. Best place for one day trip with family friends.
A very less known temple with a great view and can reach by vehicle to the top, also have an option to climb the stairs.
Great place! Road goes till the top. Lot of trash thrown near the temple. You could also go by stairs. Road is in good condition. Serene atmosphere and view from the top is amazing! Just 70 km from Bangalore. Forrest is dense and you can find lot of peacocks. Buy from local vendors near the temple. Entry is prohibited after 6pm because is animals.
Nice ..secluded place near Kunigal..with magnificent 360 degree view from Temple at the top of the hill...you can either reach by 1) taking your car/bike or 2) park at base temple and take flight of stairs...temple proceeding are quite simple....its usually crowded on Sunday morning.
Ranganath Swami temple of lord Vishnu....such a most famous place near kunigal taluk tumkur dist...and located above the hills (betta)...
Excellent temple. It's dedicated to Lord Ranganathaswamy. Worth visiting. Sunset from the top is awesome. There are two ways to reach the temple. From the front side there is a huge arc with Ram and Hanuman greeting each other, with Ganesha and vishnu. As you enter the arc within few kms you reach half way where there is Anjneya temple and parking area. From here there are two options one to go and climb steps which are not much easy climbing, covered with roof top. Or go by car or two wheeler right till the hill top. Only thing I found is litter of all agarbattis and coconut shell thrown from the top. There must be dust bin and all these thrash must be managed in a neat way. It's a sacred place people must maintain the sanctity of the place. Nothing is available on the top like water or snacks must be carried if required. Drive till the top is excellent, specially when it's raining or drizzling there is mist all around. Evening is the best time to visit the temple if it's not cloudy or else it's too hot. Though there are big trees around for shed so no issue. Worth visiting place.
