I recently stayed at this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring a warm welcome. The room was impeccably clean, and offered a breathtaking view. The hotel's central location made exploring the city convenient. The on-site dining was good, providing a menu with delicious options. I appreciated the seamless check-in/check-out process, adding to the overall positive experience. Without a doubt, I'll be returning on my next visit.

Absolutely not a 4 star hotel. I had booked this hotel through my travel agent and ended up regretting the decision. The location in Darjeeling is far from the main shopping area and the entrance is extremely steep, even for cars! The reception people were sarcastic when we asked for taxi since we were not sure if we could make the climb if we left on our own to explore the city. Our room had a massive old building as view. The railings of the so called small balcony area was full of pigeon droppings. There is a public toilet too right next to the hotel entrance. Food is vegetarian only. Morning breakfast is buffet. On one occasion we found that the "sugar less" coffee had sugar in it and upon highlighting to the staff were told - everyone has their own taste . In conclusion, not value for money. Not a 4 star hotel, atleast the Darjeeling one.

The facility is lovely, and nicely maintained. However, repeated service issues made the stay frustrating and uncomfortable: --When we arrived (British Room), our room was FREEZING. Nobody had bothered to turn any heating on at normal check-in time (we arrived around 5pm), so our room was very cold for the whole night. --we asked for the fireplace to be lit--they said the fireplace can't be lit until after 6:30. So...we had a beautiful fireplace, the room was freezing...but we couldn't use it? --I asked the front desk at check in about place to go for dinner, and a map. They didn't have a map of town (how basic!). When I asked about dinner, he gave 2 names of restaurants verbally. Given that I didn't speak Nepali, the names were difficult to understand. He didn't write them down, and didn't have a map. --The next night, we asked them to light the fireplace, and he came....and simply covered the wood with lighter fluid. No kindling. So, it was a bright fire for about 5 minutes, then went out completely. Both rooms reeked of lighter fluid fumes the whole night. --In the morning, we found we had ice-cold water. We asked the front desk, and they said "turn on the water for 25-30 minutes." I said that sounded odd--but he said thats what you need to do. So I did. It didn't help. We asked again (late for our tour), and they sent someone to fix it. The person said "well the heating unit isn't on?" Why would anyone ever be able to turn it off--or, in the interest of conservation, why wouldn't the front desk tell us that we need to turn it on when we checked in? Ice cold showers are a horrible experience. --I tried to use the spa--the same gentleman at the front desk said he'd take care of it. They confirmed. Then, the next day, at 9am (my scheduled time) they said they couldn't do the massage berceuse "the machine is broken." I asked "what machine," I want a massage. All he could say was that the machine was broken--without explaining what machine (again, I wanted a massage from a human). We eventually were able to start the massage with a human an hour late, but they never did establish why a machine was involved in a massage. Overall, I wouldn't return--though it has potential if they can get staff that understands what a guest needs (hot water, warm room, ideas for dinner).

Rarest of the rare property with 360 degree view of Darjeeling and Kanchenjungha. Stayed there for few days in S15 family room and no doubt We had an amazing experience from seamless check in till the departure. Can't think of better stay stay and thanks to thorough professional team for their willingness to help all the way.

Staying in udaan woodberry Gangtok was a very good experience . Thanks to the management of hotel ... Thanks to mr.Sajib chief and all the kitchen staffs for delicious food and his support, he is such a nice and kindhearted person ...and thanks to miss Bhumika who served us nicely and professional way I would also like to thanks mr.Bibek for his suggestions....

Udaan Dekeling? It's a mountain oasis that's beyond words. The property is a natural masterpiece, and the view is like a postcard come to life. But what really makes this place stand out is the staff, especially Mr. Sonam - he's your go-to guy for top-notch hospitality. The rooms are cozy with a rustic charm, and waking up to those mountain views is pure magic. And when it comes to food, they know how to treat your taste buds right. Udaan Dekeling is where nature and luxury come together seamlessly. Thanks to Mr. Sonam and the team, our stay was nothing short of unforgettable. Can't wait to return for another dose of mountain bliss!

Very nice experience here till now, i'll be staying here for two nights and it's going well, staff is so nice ! And room service is also good and quick and this hotel is few minutes walking distance away from the market, i tried the malai kofta in the lunch and that was good , i can recommend this hotel to anyone .
