I've been visiting Mangalore frequently from past couple of months. One thing I never miss doing in my every visit is dropping by this beach.. Though Mangalore has several beautiful beaches my choice is always the uchila. Main reason being, This beach is located almost 17kilometeters outside the City (NH66 enroute Kasargod)it is less crowded, Clean and always gives you a private beach feel. Watching sunset here and sitting by the shores or on the rocks at the night, listening to classic melodies to the rythm of the waves are my favorite activities.

Uchila beach is less known but very beautiful and safe beach. has lot of attractions like kote vishnu moorty temple and end point (Delta). around 14 Km from mangalore junction. easily reachable. you can see lot of fisherman catching fish and if you are lucky enough you can buy some directly form fisherman.
Very peaceful and beautiful beach to visit at night, but now if u go at night, police also will be coming so avoid visiting this beach after 7:00pm since there is some issues happening.. especially couples be careful

Felt like Private beach. Very less people come to this beach. There are few Homestays around this beach. People often seen come here for photo shoot. No stores to much on. Tides or waves are rough and one cannot step in deep into the sea. Ideal place to play on shore.

It was very plesant and very very comfortable stay. The owners of the villa are very good and communicative and very loving. The rooms are very neat and clean and everything that you have in your home is there in the villa, its clean and good quality
Beautiful place! Though it's just 1 bhk, they have ample space and provide beds to sleep. Recommended only for bachelors and small families. And the pool is fantastic and has a bar kinda set up near the pool.
