For those who dont know about this great personality to whom this place is dedicated to Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Who was born as Keshav Gangadhar Tilak, was an Indian nationalist, teacher, and an independence activist. He was one third of the Lal Bal Pal triumvirate. Tilak was the first leader of the Indian Independence Movement. The British colonial authorities called him "The father of the Indian unrest."
This Garden is on the corner of Godrej park. Where in 1920 the great freedom fighter lokmanaya tilak was cremated. In his found memory the British govt has built a statue. The park is open on 26 January,1 August his birth anniversary n 15 August an Independence Day.
