The Tsomgo Lake ropeway, positioned at 14,500 feet above sea level, offers a mesmerizing ride requiring ticket purchase. The ride provides panoramic views of the lake, army camps, and the astounding Himalayan ranges. Experiencing a ropeway at such a height is truly astonishing, and the sensation of fog enveloping you is both soul-stirring and tangible. Don't forget to gaze at the beauty around you!
The major attraction of Changu Lake is now the Ropeway. When we first visited here in 2013, this ropeway did not exist. This ropeway was built in 2017. This cable car climbs to 14,500 feet on the snow-covered slopes. And this is the highest in Asia (probably in the world). When you reach the top by riding this ropeway, it feels like heaven. Oh, what a wonderful view. All around covered with soft white snow. People are playing with snow, having fun. It's a great feeling (ofcourse, when the place is covered in snow). You have to spend Rs 360 (in March 2023) per head to enjoy the ride.

Tsomgo Lake Ropeway is the highest Ropeway which takes you to 14000 feet.! The views of the Tsomgo Lake and snow covered mountains are breathtaking as the cable car climbs at a steep gradient. Approximately halfway through, you can start seeing Mt Kanchenjanga on your right hand side. At the top station of the cable car, do get down and take a walk around to enjoy stunning views of Mt Kanchenjanga. (blast from the past)
