Amazing veg food at the heart of Kodai. Situated near a private bus stop, Truly Herbivore can't be missed when you enter and exit Kodai. Food was so authentic and tasty. They serve a wide variety of dishes. We understood that they do not use any artificial colours or flavours and that gave confidence to have that extra items. Don't miss it you are at Kodai is all I can say. They have a wonderful display of breads and pastries don't forget to pick them for the rest of your travel.

A very good pure veg restaurant in Kodaikanal. The food is delicious and the price also decent. Must try and the best option for vegetarians. Also, there are a lot of facts related to British India displayed there.

1. Great food, little expensive though. All the food items were great. 2. Service is great, had a little wait time but the staff communicated that to us in the beginning itself and did manage the crowd well. 3. After our harrowing experience in Aromas of Kodai, True Herbivore, saved the day for us.(or should I say evening) since this is the best part, they are among the rare restaurants in Kodaikanal which are open till 10:30 PM here.

The food is average but the price that they charge is too high. Tea costs around 60. This was highly undesirable. Tried the ghee roast and plain dosa. The size was small , also the sides were not that upto the mark. Later the staff said they will provide an additional dosa since the size made was small. The place has got a good ambience . The interiors are done in a beautiful manner, with lots of hangings with so much of historical data. Parking is also there. The restrooms were not so well maintained and was smelly.

We searched for this place basis the reviews on Google. As we entered the restaurant, we felt a lack of vibe here and the staff seemed to be so disinterested in having any customers. They seemed to be the depressed souls forced to work in the restaurant. After the initial order was placed, they just did not want to come to our table (though only 2 tables were occupied). The Pav Bhaji was the first item on the table. The bhaji was good but the pav was rock solid that we had to break it before finally deciding to do a SOS call. We asked for the Pav to be replaced with something easy on our mouth. The Dahi Puri was spicy and we had to ask for some sweet chutney. While we thought we taste a couple of dishes before ordering some more, we had a second thought. The cold coffee was alright but we asked for extra sweet syrup. The only item which did not require change was the Bombay Sandwich. Totally dissapointing experience both with the food and pathetic staff.

One of the best restaurant in Kodai for Vegetarian. I would recommend Restaurant owner to open similar restaurant in other cities. Food is delicious here and staff behaviour is awesome. I had food four days out of my six days visit. Price is higher side and it is justifiable. I feel No one would regret after having food here.

Must visit restaurant for pure vegetarians in Kodaikanal. Cozy ambience and delicious food served here. Price is comparatively expensive, service from the staff is good. We tried Chole with punjabi kulcha ,dahi Puri, kodai mountain fresh pizza, schezwan fried rice , bombay chutni sandwich, manchow soup and stuffed Paratha all of which tasted yumm
